My husband and I had an appointment with Dr. Patel, at the Advanced Eye Care, back in December of 2019.This was the worst optometrist we have ever encountered. She diagnosed my husband with cataracts, and scared him by telling him, he needed surgery right away, if he did not have it, he would go blind. The year before my husband was told there were no signs of cataracts. We felt a little confused. We proceeded to get another opinion, and the DO, said the same thing. No sign of cataracts. What she was trying to do, was get a large kick back from the surgeon? I feel she was very unethical. Needless to say, we will never go back there.

I recently visited him again, getting older n now I'm needing glasses, Lol. Yet, for 30 plus yrs Dr. Shulman has been our guy. Kids grew up going there, they loved him. Great atmosphere, great attitude with ALL in office. Top notch knowledge n service. I knew n trust him for yrs, travel 45 minutes just to see him. Eye care is 5 minutes away, yet mines 45 minutes away. Great person n family guy.
