Devin Amin Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr Amin has done the last three out of four of my spinal surgeries and I couldn’t ask for a better doctor. I honestly trust him with my life. He is caring and compassionate and makes sure you understand everything he is talking about. He never rushes his appointments and is always smiling. I believe he is an asset to SIU. I highly and I mean highly recommend Dr Amin to everyone who needs him. I have to have a fifth surgery soon and I have actually decided if he isn’t the one to do it I don’t want it done. I would rather live in pain and not walk than have anyone touch my back. He is that amazing! Update! I had to go in for a fifth spine surgery that ended up being 14 levels and when I was talking to Dr Amin I could see it in his eyes this would be the last surgery. He is so caring and explains everything so well. I am now walking with no pain and slowly getting my life back after 20 years of pain at levels of 8-10. Dr Amin is the best neurologist in the Springfield area and I highly recommend him to everyone! I am laying down in this pic but as you can see the incision looks amazing at three days out.

I had a fusion from him in may of 2019 an since then have experienced lot of leg pain issues an I was told by him that tiger woods had the same surgery an he came back an won the green jacket lol...well #1 tiger woods did not have the same surgery and it was very unprofessional of him to even say something like that so I would not recommend him to anyone an I have sought treatment from a true specialist in St Louis to find out why I'm going thru all these leg problems

I was in excruciating pain the entire time I was hospitalized. Dr. Amin used iodine on me causing severe Burns and it is ALL over my records that I am deathly allergic to iodine. Horrible bed side manner, he just doesn't care. He had to redo my surgery. Sad.

Had brain surgery last September. Cant say enough good things about Dr Amin and his staff.

I had a Siatic Nerve from my lower back to my foot, since May 20, 2019. I had never been in such excursioning pain in my life. I had seen 4 doctors before being sent to Dr. Amin. He was an absolute Blessing from God. My surgery was a success. I am no longer in pain. It's just tender and a little sore from the surgery, which is normal. Dr. Amin is the nicest Doctor, very professional bedside manners. He tells you exactly what he had done during the surgery. Does not leave anything out. He answers all questions. Dr. Amin is a very caring Surgeon. I would use him again if need be. But I Pray to God I won't have to. I would not wish pain from a siatic nerve on anyone. Thank You Dr. Amin you are the Greatest.

Dr Devin Amin is a fanstastic dr who takes the time to explain things in laymans language that anyone can understand. He explains all options, available for treatment. He has done a crainiotomy sphenoid wing mass which was located behind my left eye. My eyesight has mostly at this time been restored. He has great bedside manner, and the team of drs are super. I would recommend him for anyone seeking similar treatment. My surgery was completed at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL , which also provided excellent care following surgery.

I found Dr. Amin to be a very personable, down to earth and highly impressive surgeon. He gets right to the point,, very thorough and articulate with his medical knowledge and explanations of procedures. I've been a nurse for 35 years and I'm willing to put my trust in him for surgery, as I've been living in pain for many years but had previously opted out of surgery. I trust I will be better. 😊

Dr Amin did a microdiscectomy on my husband two weeks ago and he is a wonderful surgeon. He takes the time to explain things and has great bedside manner. Hubby had pain a week after surgery on a weekend and dr Amin promptly returned my call, and got him fixed up. He is walking better and is in way less pain than he was a year ago. His physicians assistant Dianne was also wonderful.

Dr. Amin is an amazing and outstanding doctor who has compassion and a wonderful bedside manner. He's straight forward and does not sugar coat anything. I trust him with my life and because of him I have my life slowly coming back. I could barely walk more than 5 feet before surgery and I'm now 6 months post op and I'm able to walk about one mile. I highly recommend Dr. Amin to anyone who needs a neurosurgeon.
