List of Nilesh Goswami's Reviews
Patronizing, dismissive, rude, and arrogant.
Very talented doctor. Very kind and goes above and beyond what is required of him. He was the only cardiologist out of 3 and 2 major major hospitals that actually took the time to listen to me (him and Meredith). I can never thank him enough.
I’ll never go back to this doctor. He is supposed to be an “expert” on heart defects, but he is not up on the latest research and advocacy for a congenital heart defect that is dismissed as only ever benign (unless you die from it). He has a terrible bedside manner. He is extremely closed minded. He has no customer service skills. Will never go back.
My first appointment with this Doctor was also my last experience with this Doctor; ending a 20 year relationship with Prairie Cardiovascular.
After my longtime cardiologist left Prairie Cardiovascular and relocated to another city I was assigned to Dr. Goswami. My first and only appointment was a huge disappointment. I was aware that I had plaque buildup in both left and right carotid artery and also an aneurysm in abdominal aorta. My previous Doctor had been monitoring both with annual scans. My first appointment with Dr. Goswami lasted about 2 minutes and in that 2 minutes he bluntly informed me that he would NOT be monitoring my carotid arteries. ( I guess that he was not interested in preventing a stroke). Then he sent me to St. Johns Hospital for a scan of my abdominal aneurysm. I was aware that it has been growing over the past few years and was reaching the dangerous point. The next day I tried to get the results and the size of my aneurysm but no one would give me that information. A day later I went directly to St. Johns but they also would not give me the info because Dr. Goswami had not signed off on it. a week or 10 days later they finally got around to letting me know that my aneurysm had grown to the point where an immediate fix was necessary but by then I had already contacted a new and wonderful and friendly and informative Doctor at SIU. He immediately sent me to Memorial Hospital for stents to be inserted. My first time at Memorial. I had always used St. Johns in the past. I have now ended a 19 year relationship with St. Johns and Prairie Cardiovascular. Since then I have met another patient R. E. who also had a bad experience with Dr. Goswami. I could give you the details but I will let R. E. do that.
very good doctor. pleasurable experience. would recommend
Staff friendly, questions are answered and I don't feel rushed in office. However, I can only give three stars as they are terrible at calling back. And THEY told ME they'd call to follow up. The result, ME calling THEM and so far a two day runaround.
Excellent physician. Spent quite a bit of time with my mom. She really liked him. Was suggested to us by someone in our church.
This is a great Dr.,I feel he saved my life, and was very professional and caring ,also took time to put my family at ease!
Excellent rapport, very intelligent, a down to earth man despite his expertise

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
