Out of all of the doctors I've seen at SIU (which feels like a lot) Dr. Abrams is BY FAR the best. He is so kind and informative and you can tell he really cares so much about his patients. Not going to lie, I was a little nervous meeting with a male doctor instead of a female but now I hope I get to see him everytime. He has really made me feel comforted in such a hard time in my life and for that I can't thank him enough!

I loved Dr. Abrams! He makes you feel at ease, even in high-risk pregnancies. I had him for a c-section and he was very patient, explaining the procedure, the recovery, and its necessity in a very calm and understandable way. 10/10 would recommend!

I was flown to Springfield at 32 weeks because I developed preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. I had never met Dr. Abrams until that night but he made my husband and I feel like we had known him the whole time. He was so kind and took time to explain everything even though he was ridiculously busy with many emergency deliveries going on non stop. He was able to hold me off longer enough for me to get the steroid shots that my daughters lungs needed. He had to do a difficult c-section because my daughter was laying sideways and dealt with a few other complications during surgery. He was calm and comforting through the entire thing. I had to be in the hospital 8 days and Dr. Abrams and his staff were nothing short of amazing the entire time. It is because of him that our 3lbs 7oz miracle of a little girl made it safely into this world December of 2016. She was healthy...just small. St. John’s NICU was equally as impressive.

I'm lucky to have gotten him. I was nervous at first about having a guy doctor but he is amazing! Funny & patient. I recommend him to anyone !

Dr.Abrams is wonderful however getting an appt with him or even a follow up appt after my surgery has been nearly impossible. His clinic rescheduled my appt 3 times and lastly booked me with a different physician in the group! They told me I did not have the option of requesting my appt with him but that I would see whoever was on the schedule that dos. If you want a fetal maternal specialist that follows you from start to delivery, go elsewhere.
