Had cataracts removed from my right eye. The left eye was done a month before and it was great. The right eye seems even better.

Dr. Ticho helped restore my vision. I no longer need glasses, only for reading small print. He is very patient & will explain everything he is doing.

Dr. Ticho and his staff are caring professionals! My wait time was short, I was added in due to an emergent eye issue, The doctor spent plenty of time explaining what my diagnosis was, the staff was extremely helpful, my prescription was ready before I got home, today t was seamless start to finish. I've been a patient for more than five years, my entire family sees the doctor, always a positive experience.

Dr. Ticho did my daughter's cataract surgery in 2009. He did an excitement job!

He kept me waiting for an hour because of being short-staffed. Gave me card for free manicure in his new Beauty Spa where he removes tattoos with laser. Weird. Next appt., he had it set up so young girl assistants do all the screenings. At the end, you see him for results for 5 min. consult. Shabby way to practice.

This place should be avoided at all cost. $160 doctor visit that doesn’t include them printing out your actual prescriptions. That’s another $55. Ridiculous. They should be ashamed. We will not be back.

Dr Benjamin Ticho is an awesome eye doctor and surgeon. He was instrumental in helping me not only cope with my declining vision, but also helped me get accommodations on the job to address my low-vision disability. He suggested that I see Top-doc Dr Jennifer Lim at the U of I, and put me in touch with The Chicago Light House for the Blind. All these people and places came together and enabled me to get the best care ever....thanks Dr Ticho, you started the best changes in my eye care!

Dr. Ticho was nice and sounded knowledgeable when we spoke with him about my 5-yr old daughter's need for surgery on her tear duct. At that visit he also gave her a new prescription for glasses with only a brief exam (not the traditional exam she had with her previous doctor). Though his explanation for his style of exam made sense, it ended up being so far off that once we got the script filled at Moses Eye Care, she required a new exam and a new script from a second opinion. Back to the whole idea of the surgery... he told us to talk with his receptionist on the way out to schedule the surgery. She told me she doesn't do that and so she gave me a card and handwrote the hospital's surgical center's number at the top. She told me to call the lady named on the business card and schedule the surgery myself. When I called, the hospital laughed at me. They said only doctors can schedule surgeries and I had to go back to Dr Ticho's office to figure it out there. I don't think so! So - we will NOT go back to Dr. Ticho. It doesn't matter how good he is. The office staff was sick and coughing on me and my kids. The office staff was really rude (reason for not getting new lense script filled there) and they tried making me schedule a surgery for my own child (which cannot be done).Waste of time!!
