Dr. Gracias performed gall bladder surgery on my mother in August 2021. Missed a bile duct and as a result my mother went septic and died. High risk patient that was rushed through a scheduled day surgery and sent home.

Really liked this general surgeon in the DULY (DuPage Medical) group. I needed surgery to fix a hernia and, after meeting with Dr. Gracias, chose him for the procedure. One of the great things about Dr. Gracias is that he is trained in robotic/laparoscopic (minimally-invasive) surgery ... so recovery is much faster. While not every surgery case can be done minimally-invasive, it is comforting to know your doctor can do it if your condition allows it. My introductory meeting with the doctor was convenient, scheduling the surgery was easy, and I had a choice of places to have it done. I found Dr. Gracias to be professional, knowledgeable, articulate, and thorough. He took his time and answered all my questions; if I wanted more detail, he supplied it. The DULY group off doctors have the use of a dedicated surgery center in Lombard for out-patient surgery, and it was easy-peasy to have it done there. So now I have a general surgeon on my health team. Dr. Gracias also does colonoscopies and a number of other procedures, and practices in an Integrated Oncology Program. So if you are in the market for (need) the services of a general surgeon, this may be your go to MD. His support staff (especially Jacyln Mis PA-C is wonderful).

Dr. Gracias is a great doctor. He is very sympathetic and very patient. I had two procedures done by Dr. Gracias over the years and would recommend him to anyone. He is old school.

I have had Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea for 9 nine years after suffering both an infection in Metro hospital Blue Island and a damaged Vagus Nerve from Dr. Gracias's surgery which is a nerve controlling digestion. I had severe pain for almost a year afterwards and still suffer. He never addressed and just said it would get better with time.

In 2016 Dr. Gracias resectioned my bowel to remove Cancer, it was a 100% cleared. He was an excellent in every way, he took the time to follow up on all my needs & his staff were the best!
