List of Jay Kiokemeister's Reviews
Loves to send you bills after having a surgery preformed years beforehand and claim you still “owe” money when you absolutely do not. They love to send Debora from ambulatory anesthesiologists after you too. Very deceitful and don’t buy into their lying. Being threatened to be sent to collections for a bill that you legally had no idea about or obligation to pay is fun! Kidding. Not kind & ethical! 👌
I have see Dr Kiokmeister for over 10 years. He basically treated spinal stenosis and sciatica until back surgery remedied those issues. Then CRPS took control of my right thigh. He listened patiently and we worked together until we found medications that could lessen the intensity of CRPS pain.
Excellent, caring talented physician! And I'm a nurse and a tough judge!
Always answers questions patiently, I never feel rushed and he has stayed informed as I dealt with a new diagnosis outside of his practice of medicine. He discusses treatment options and drug interactions without judgement and lots of compassion. If I don't have questions the appointments are efficient and quick, but if I need clarification or havery questions, he sets down my chart, turns towards me and gives me the time needed without making me feel as if I am wasting his time.
Dr. Kiokemeister took over my case after seeing another doctor in the practice for 5 years. He has worked with me over the past 18 months. He always answers questions patiently, I never feel rushed and has stayed informed as I dealt with a new diagnosis outside of his practice of medicine. He discusses treatment options and drug interactions with me as
The office team always contacts me if, wait times will change my appointment time.
I have been seeing dr kiokemeister 4 a while i went to make a complaint about a rude secretary the office manager is psycho he said i was doctor shopping and a drug addict all bcause i complained about a rude secretary so the office manager dropped me as a patient not the dr its medical abandonment they are supposed to send a certified letter with discharge information give you 30 days to find a new dr refill one last script but no the gave me nothing wa on fentanyl 50mcg oxycodone 20mg 6xs day
I found this doctor to be very short with his patients, his billing is confusing, to put it mildly (each appointment was listed as "Extended visit' when I never, over an actual extended period of time, spent more than ten minutes, tops, with him.) Just time for him to write prescriptions. If I had a problem with a medication, and had to return to his office to have it corrected, he became visibly upset at my taking up 3 more minutes of his time. I continued going to him because I would do my own research about a drug, tell him what it was, that I wanted to try it, and he would write the prescription, no questions asked, no checking my research. He wrote prescriptions several times for medications that were not manufactured in the doses he put on the prescriptions. He is there for the money, and he makes a lot of it, what with his strange billing methods, on top of his rather high fees. He is rude, arrogant, and oddly uninformed about new (and sometimes even not-so-new) pain medications.
I received an epidural steroid injection (ESI) from Dr Kiokemeister. After the procedure I have now learned that the drug that Dr Kiokemeister used for the ESI (KENALOG-40) is NOT APPROVED BY THE FDA FOR EPIDURAL ADMINISTRATION. Dr Kiokemeister never informed me that he was injecting a drug into me on an off-label basis. Had I been properly and legally informed that the drug injected into me was NOT APPROVED by the FDA for epidural administration, I would have refused the injection. The package insert for KENALOG-40 from the Bristol-Myers Squibb website clearly states at the very top "NOT FOR EPIDURAL USE". Why is a drug being injected into people epiduraly when the package insert clearly states "NOT FOR EPIDURAL USE"? At minimum, informed consent should be obtained from each patient. This is something that I never received. I have also learned that ESIs are extremely dangerous. Several people have even died from ESIs. Arachnoiditis is also another very serious complication that may result from ESIs. I was never informed of any of these potentially very serious complications from ESIs. I would not recommend Dr Kiokemeister for any kind of invasive procedure due to his failure to give proper and legally required informed consent. For narcotic pain relievers he is probably OK.
He was not skilled at finding my knots to inject with the medicine. Any skilled physician can find them! I have since gone to another doc who found them by touching where it hurt and she was right on! Do not waste your time w. this money hungry doc who said he had to use X-ray guidance for trigger points. Other docs confirmed to me that that is not true. He also was sarcastic....sarcasm doesn't go very well when you are in pain. If you don't have compassion then find another occupation Dr. Jay!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
