List of Jay Steinberg's Reviews
The office conditions were poor and unprofessional.
Dr. Steinberg is an important part of my healthcare team. He is never hurried in exams and always fully answers any questions or concerns I may have. Appointments are always punctual and his staff is professional and aware of patients’ issues. Dr Jay stays current on all new treatments and procedures. I have full confidence in Dr. Steinberg for treating any urological issues I may have.
Excellent doctor! Caught my problem early and because of that, I'm still alive. His follow up is also excellent and he keeps you informed of your health as well as makes sure he is checking on you. He's Excellent!
I had to get zapped for a couple boulders in my kidneys. The Dr wouldn't give me a work note and sent me back like he was paying my salary. Because of him, My day at work was like the movie Return to Blue Lagoon. I simmered in bloody underwear all day as kidney stones trickled down my pant legs. Can't thank you enough for humiliating me in front of my co-workers.
Ongoing provider-pateint realtionship since a kidney stone attack in 2012, Stones are prevalent in my family. Through his diagnosis and care recommendations, I have been able to avoid all but the smallest stones, which most have gotten passed uneventfully. Can not help to be grateful as at least one other family member, living outside the midwest, continually struggles with kidney stone development and treatments. It's worth noting Dr. Steinberg's offive is a 240-mile round trip for me. Consider what he's done for me, I consider the distance only a minor inconvenience.
He is very patent and nice. He solved my problem quickly and I recommend him to everyone.
The staff is terrible! I would not recommend this office to anyone! After seeing the Dr. I was told that the recommended procedure for me is not covered by my health insurance , without even confirming with the insurance company as the "Dr." will not make any money from it! What ever happened to helping people and Hippocrates Oath. If there is a portion that my insurance will not cover I will gladly pay for it! However they just said "No" they will not do the procedure without even trying to pre certify!! This office discriminates towards whatever type of insurance you carry! They only care about MONEY!!! Shameful and disgusting!!!

I went to the Emergency Room in extreme pain and Dr. Steinberg came in and said I had a kidney stone and surgery was required. He did the procedure and I woke up completely pain free. I have seen him at his office and he has been very informative and takes the time to answer my questions. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
Dr Steinberg was personable, easy to talk to, he showed he cared.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
