Dr Wanta will not hold back. She will try everything to figure out what is wrong. No giving up unless you give up!
Beware of dangerous medical negligence. She repeatedly shut down conversation when I tried to talk about my past experiences with medication, then proceeded to prescribe a medication that is closely related to other drugs that I have had severe adverse reactions to in the past, and that could have caused me serious harm. I asked her two questions regarding medications or procedures that she recommended during our appointment. In both instances, she deflected and did not answer my question, then documented in the after visit notes that I "refused," because I had expressed hesitation and asked her a question. She did not review my list of current medications at all. She first recommended the antacid that I am already taking and when I tried to explain that, she cut me off and recommended another one. She then documented that I am not currently taking any acid suppression medications and that I refuse to try one, despite that I'm currently taking one and it is in my chart.
Beware of dangerous medical negligence. This is a doctor who will not listen to you, and who is not open to discussion about any of her recommendations. Beware of dangerous medical negligence. This is a doctor who will not listen to you, and who is not open to discussion about any of her recommendations. She repeatedly shut down conversation when I tried to talk about my past experiences with medication, then proceeded to prescribe a medication that is closely related to other drugs that I have had severe adverse reactions to in the past, and that could have caused me serious harm if I had not caught her medical error and brought it up to my pharmacist who was shocked that a doctor would do that. I asked her two questions regarding medications or procedures that she recommended during our appointment. In both instances, she deflected and did not answer my question, then documented in the after visit notes that I "refused," because I had expressed hesitation and asked her a question. The most alarming part is that she did not review my list of current medications at all. She first recommended the antacid that I am already taking and when I tried to say that I am already taking it, she cut me off and recommended another one. She then documented that I am not currently taking any acid suppression medications and that I refuse to try one, despite that I'm currently taking one and it is in my chart if she had bothered to read it. Keep in mind, if she's not reading your medication list and is prescribing medications, she is not taking into account any drug interactions, and could cause serious harm to a patient. Please see someone else. There are plenty of other gastroenterologists out there and it is not worth the risk to your health and safety.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
