MIchael Ogilvie's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Michael Ogilvie has been my surgeon for two years. I have been through countless surgeries for over 25 years and treated by several doctors. Dr. Ogilvie is my favorite for several reasons including his confidence, patience, honesty, perfectionism, and intelligence. Being operated on and hospitalized during Covid was unique but I never worried because I was cared for by the best! I referred several friends and strangers to Dr. Ogilvie and everyone feels the same way about his surgical skills. His impressive education including Harvard and University of Chicago led me to choose him!

One of the best decisions I've made! From the first phone call to the consultation, surgery, and post -op follow-up nothing but amazing, professional, and caring. My follow up was for a whole year! He actually checks on you a year! He, his colleagues, and his staff treated me so kind and was very informative. I had my surgery done in Oct. 2020. Went from a G/H to C-D. Mostly D. I wish I had gotten it done sooner. I had 3 referrals to chose from and thank God I landed in his hands. If you are looking, look no further!

I thank Dr. Ogilvie for his great job always fallow up for everything and his staff is wonderful I feel like a family to them a specially Lauren she is great and high experience for what she's doing. I will recommend there place 100%

Dr. Ogilvie is an amazing surgeon, he explained everything to me when we met prior to surgery. I just had my double mastectomy with expanders and he met with my husband, came and met with me and went over my plans again. He had made this journey smoother and I appreciate him for his professionalism and compassion.

I was diagnosed with cancer and had a bilateral mastectomy in January 2020. Dr. Ogilvie was recommended by my breast surgeon. We met prior to my surgery, he explained everything. As you can imagine it was all very overwhelming. I was given options and went with expanders, followed by reconstruction in July. Every step was explained to me, I was told to think about my options for reconstruction and didn't feel pressured. This was a whole new world with medical terms and procedures I was unfamiliar with. The office staff was always kind, I was greeted when I arrived, my appointments were always on-time and, even in a pandemic, I felt very safe going to Dr. Ogilvie's office. I would recommend Dr. Ogilvie, he genuinely cares for us patients.

I met Dr. Ogilvie in January of this year with concerns related to my breast reconstruction ( performed by another plastic surgeon ) after my double mastectomy 5 yrs ago. At that time I was experiencing pain/ discomfort in one breast and the appearance of the breasts were not as they should be. At my first consultation Dr. Ogilvie and I talked in depth about my medical history and my breast cancer/ reconstruction journey. After my exam he diagnosed me w/ Capsular Contracture and he also pointed out some other cosmetic issues that he felt could be addressed/ taken care of. He explained in detail what my options and surgical plan would be. He answered all my questions and concerns BUT wanted me to think everything over before making my final decision, no pressure at all and wished me luck moving forward no matter what my final decision may have been. Today I am one month post-op from my revision. My surgery went well and as planned by Dr. Ogilvie. I feel so comfortable and most important pain-free. I am extremely happy with my results ( better than I have ever been since day one of my reconstruction ). I highly recommended Dr. Ogilvie and his staff !!!! And, I also thank you Dr. Ogilvie for your compassion, understanding, knowledge in breast cancer reconstruction and making me comfortable and whole again !

Dr. Ogilvie is an amazing doctor. Very nice and made me feel very comfortable. His office was nice and clean! And his staff is kind and caring.

Dr. Ogilvie is professional and compassionate. I trusted and felt comfortable with him from our first consultation. He took the time to explain the process and what I should expect. I appreciated the fact that he did not try to recommend any procedures I did not need or want. Dr. Ogilvie throughly and patiently answered my questions. I always felt as if I was his only patient. The entire staff was attentive to my needs. The staff members knew who I was and what needed to be done. What a great experience!

DR OGILVIE OFFICE IS VERY VERY NICE . THE STAFF THERE IS UNBELIEVABLY COURTEOUS AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE PROCEDURE I WAS HAVING . DR.OGILIVE MADE ME FEEL LIKE FAMILY. IT IS ALWAYS A JOY TO SEE DR MICHEAL PATRICK OGILVIE . HE IS A GREAT DR AND MAKE YOU FEEL SO COMFORTABLE . THANKS YOU GUYS

Dr. Ogilvie and his team are very thorough, warm and absolutely experts at what they do. Because this is a smaller practice, I could actually pick the days/times that were easiest for me not only for my surgery but for all my follow up appointments. I never once had to wait to see Dr. Ogilvie, every appointment started on time and I always felt welcome to take as much time as I needed at each appointment, this usually is not the case at practices in the Loop. Getting to Oak Lawn from the far Northwest side was so much easier than going into the Loop and the parking at the hospital is free and plentiful. I didn't realize how much the ease of getting there and parking easily for each visit would be such a big part of my recovery, but it was. I highly recommend this practice. Dr. Ogilvie has that rare combination in a surgeon: incredibly skilled as well as a warm and engaging.
