Tinley Woods Surgery Center's Online Review Report Card

Billing department should be re staffed. I called to see where my refund was since my insurance co. said they paid by EFT and the check cleared 2 days after being issued. The billing department said they didn't have it. I spent 4 hours on the phone with the insurance company trying to call them and no one answered the phones. The billing department said they send payment by credit credit which my insurance co. shows EFT. My insurance co. said if it was by credit card it would state so but it states it was paid EFT. I called the billing department again and all of sudden they have the payment. If you make an error just they the customer you made an error instead of me being on the phone for 4 hours. They never called to tell me they had the funds I had to call them. Very poor service from the billing department, we will be using a different facility from now on.

Attempting to get pre-authorization from this site was a nightmare. After multiple unanswered calls, and 5 months of waiting, i was told by the office staff that my insurance didnt cover care here. After speaking with my insurance, turns out, my care IS covered here, but the claim for the procedure was denied because they attempted to contact facility multiple times and never received call back over 5 months. Don't waste your time.

The doctor and nurses were all very knowledgeable and kind. Surgery and healing went very well. The billing department on the other hand is terrible. They gave us the cost to pay upfront, no problem paid and all was well. Several months later we get a bill in the mail, I paid part with my HSA card and was going to pay the balance over the next two months. Went to log in the next month to pay again and the portal only allows one type of payment and only allows you to pay the full balance. Called, emailed Leticia Lara several times with out a reply or support to help me pay with two different methods so we could use our HSA and debit. It is very disappointing the billing department employees cannot honor a simple request. Let alone calculate a bill properly for upfront payment in cash. Our family will go else where if we need surgery again

They gave me a migraine. Their scheduling system is taky, communication is poor at the front desk,ppl act like they can't speak up.As far as the actual surgery my family member is satisfied they just really need to work on professionalism.

Never received surgical card after left eye cataract surgery. When I called to request a card, I was told that it was too late and the cards were expensive and in low supply so I would be sent a xerox copy of the information. Seems strange to me since I'm sure the cost of card was built into cost paid for surgery. Not to mention this was an error on the part of Tinley Woods not me

I was coming into the building for a Covid test and Debby at the surgery counter abruptly cut me off to say this is surgery …. Go read the directions in The center of the floor. Now my thing is … I could have been a surgery patient for all she knew but her attitude was very nasty . Even just for asking a question . And she walked away after giving that nasty statement as if to say that’s it . Don’t talk to me …. Ridiculous .

My Dad had surgery here and has never been taken care of better! Everyone had a smile on their face! His safety and health was everyone’s first priority!

They canceled my epidural the day before because my BMI was too high. It was only going to be a local anesthetic. I'm very angry.

Medical staff is wonderful. Billing department is an absolute nightmare.

Extremely impressed with the team. Facility is clean, safe and conveniently located.
