List of Clarity Physical Therapy And Wellness Center's Reviews
I've never done PT before in my life, but after a recent injury multiple people recommended I check out Clarity. From the second I walked in, I felt at home - great environment, friendly staff and extremely knowledgable. HUGE thanks to Beth for helping with my injury and providing me with helpful techniques to expedite my recovery.
Nick and Bethany made an impact quickly! Very comfortable setting. Easy parking. Great front office staff.
Super satisfied with the Clarity in Clarendon Hills. Kevin is always on time, varies the therapy procedures, and makes the time go by fast. Excellent therapist effective therapy.
Clarity is beyond first class. I have been an athlete for 45 years and have been to many P.T. centers for injuries and post surgery rehab and this is by far the most impressive. All of the physical therapists are well trained, competent, knowledgeable, and kind. Craig who I work with and his wife Ellen are the owners and have many advanced certifications. However, in my educated opinion there is more to to rehab than just medical and technical knowledge. They understand that they are not just working on a knee or a spine but a human being who is in pain and/or suffering from a loss of mobility and their mood and self worth need help as well. Every single employee here shows empathy and is uplifting. They have created a welcoming environment that bolsters the human spirit and that helps those currently physically challenged thrive. I recommend Clarity without reservation or hesitation.
Honestly, beyond disappointed in this place. I tore my Achilles and was constantly passed around between therapists after I specifically asked to be with 1 person consistently to track my progress. I saw 4 different therapists who would ask me the same questions and make me do different things. I am an understanding person -- I realize things come up, schedules change but no notice was given to me about any changes and I felt completely disregarded and I am already in such a hard place mentally and physically with my injury. I was honestly in shock when I came to an appointment and the PT I was scheduled with said Hi to me and left. Then someone else told me I would be with them for that day. I could not believe the lack of respect to not let me know or to even check in with me. I would never recommend this place to anyone who is serious about rehab. The lack of consistency and care is pretty appalling.

Running injuries have landed me in Clarity's care twice in the last three years. Once was due to overuse and the second time due to a fall. Each time I've emerged a stronger, smarter, better athlete. Now, more than a year later since my last treatment, I continue to follow the at home regime they prescribed to stay strong and help keep injury at bay. If you want results that last, a team that truly cares and a first-rate facility, choose Clarity.
My experience with Craig Mawdsley was absolutely flawless. I suffered two left foot injuries in 2017 and 2019 that entailed 3 fractures and considerable soft tissue damage. After two surgeries and nearly 3 years in and out of a hard orthopedic boot, my full-body alignment was an absolute mess. In fact, I'd 'thrown out' my back a series of times, which became worrisome for potential slipped discs. And my attempts to walk after the boot --at long last -- came off was not unlike one of those videos on Animal Planet of a baby deer taking its first steps. I literally could not coordinate myself. As it was clear that I need some intensive physical therapy, my foot surgeon and podiatrist recommended Craig. In fact, she suggested that she wouldn't send me to anyone else, as Craig was her top pick as a specialist in gait analysis. Well, needless to say, Craig comprehensively evaluated my biomechanics and identified the many musculoskeletal imbalances and strength/range of motion deficiencies that I'd accrued with my injuries and surgical recoveries. Over the course of about 2 months (which is all the time I had prior to leaving for work abroad), Craig pretty much fixed my body and re-taught me how to walk. He was precise -- targeting the specific muscle groups and areas that needed most attention. He was methodical -- meeting me exactly where I was (ground zero) and offering developmentally appropriate challenges with each session. He communicated closely with my surgeon to ensure that my care remained integrative. He was thorough -- observing my movements at each session and re-evaluating my overall progress at various stages of our work together. He was hands-on -- incorporating manual therapies, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, stretching and strength work. He was generous with his knowledge -- answering my questions, explaining 'why' I experienced discomfort, sharing the purpose of a specific exercise or intervention, etc. And importantly -- on a personal level -- he was warm, empathetic and encouraging -- which kept me motivated and proactive every step of the way (pun intended). Actually, the entire team at Clarity -- the other therapist Sara, Ellen and Kevin, as well as Amy and Jenny at the front office -- are genuinely kind and helpful. There's a sense of community that makes you feel supported and right at home, which is a comfort when you're coming out of a health setback. I can't offer a higher recommendation and I can't wait to spend time at Clarity again when I'm next in town. THANK YOU!
I’ve been treated at Clarity for two separate issues over the past 18 months, and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a team of professional individuals who take a genuine interest in their patients’ overall well-being. Scheduling was never an issue, the facility and equipment are first rate, and I always felt as though they were happy to see me each time I entered. My visits were thorough, my questions/concerns were always addressed, and they gave me thorough instructions for continuing my healing process at home. I’m actually going to miss my trips to Clarity, but at the same time, I am thrilled that I’m now able to strengthen on my own.
I can’t say enough about my continuing therapy at Clarity...I’m so proud of y progress..The therapists really know what they’re doing.....I am more sure of myself in strength and balance. They have coaxed this 84 yr old body into doing what I lost faith in doing..Love them all!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
