I just had my first visit at the Hip Institute. I read a lot of reviews that said they waited hours. My experience was that they got me into X-ray quickly, one gal took notes all about my problem, another dr came in and checked me out and shortly after Dr Dome came in and discussed all my options very clearly and answered all my questions in a very patient manner. He never rushed me and sat very relaxed listening to me. PRP is a series of three injections of my own plasma costing $800 each-not covered by insurance. So I have to decide if I want that or not!

I'm sure Dr Domb knew exactly what to do within 1 minute of looking at my MRI, and examining me.. I'm sure most (almost all?) patients think time spent with the doctor means a better diagnosis. I do not. I could have done without the 2 1/2 hours of time spent with everyone else, (although his resident was attentive and kind) and been happy with the 2 minutes I spent with Dr Domb. Either you trust or you don't. I trust and will be scheduling my labral tear for after the new year.

Whole process on my first visit was well coordinated and efficient. Clear communication by Dr Kuhn and Dr Domb made it possible for me to make an informed decision to have hip replacement using anterior approach

Dr Bohnenkamp is excellent. Listens, explains things in detail and very personable. He’s going to do a full hip replacement for me in a few weeks.
