He's probably decent at what he does but truly he was negligent in his aftercare, minimizing of concerns, patronizing and completely rude. He forgot I was an actual person who he took an organ out of. After Dr. Altimari removed my gallbladder he forgot to sign my prescription for pain management. Mistakes happen but then he was unavailable to sign it for 2 days after being released from the hospital. I had 2 terribly painful nights which he didn't seem to find any urgency to resolving the problem. I was also very clear with him and his staff about my allergies. He had agreed to how I would be bandaged up after surgery to prevent reactions. I also spoke to his nurse and PA, so this was communicated to as many people as possible to prevent a mistake. Unfortunately I was still bandaged with something that I commonly have a reaction with and was clear it couldn't be used. When I went to my follow up appointment he was minimizing of his mistakes, patronizing and dismissive. Going as far as greeting me with "Hello Miss Crabby". Unfortunately I was crabby, I had just been through 2 major abdominal surgeries, an infection and was sent home without the proper pain management. I don't know who would feel completely happy in that circumstance.

Took out about half my colon. Because of diverticulitis and an abscess. 16 years later I'm still so very thankful he was there. I live 830 miles south bust I'd make the trip north if I needed to.

Worst physician my family has ever dealt with. Never explained what he was going to do to my 78 yo mother. Went in for a hernia repair came out with a major tummy tuck, unbelievable!!

I went to Dr. Altimari for a inguinal hernia repair. When we met for the consultation I learned of my umbilical hernia as well. He suggested we do the surgery Monday before Thanksgiving so I had time to recover over the holiday. It was a fantastic plan for me because I am self employed and have been putting this off for almost five years. There is never a good time for surgery, I learned a valuable lesson, you gotta just get it done. Dr. Altimari and his staff at his practice and at the hospital have got it down to a perfect rhythm! I have to admit I was nervous but once in their care all of my nervousness went away. I am so happy I made the decision to have this finally taken care of. I have had little pain mostly just soreness. Just been taking ibuprofen and I am good! So of you need anything like this done Dr. Altimari is the best. So I can definitely say that what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving is meeting Dr. Altimari and all of his staff! Top notch truly the best!

This man is amazing! My daughter has cancer and recently had a bowel obstruction and free air! He did surgery on my daughter and he was so compassionate and amazing! My daughter has never felt better. She’s been feeling like she was in deaths door and now after surgery she feels alive again! Thank you so much for what you did for my daughter and our family. No one else would have done what you did and we are so thankful for you!

He was not a clear or thorough communicator when he tried to discuss my illness. He was not an effective listener.

Dr. Altimeri performed emergent abdominal surgeon on my wife and saved her life. Wonderful man who is also very kind

Dr Altimar came in my life August 2018 and discovered colon cancer that was hindering my life. He has been there by my side since. Seeing me thru several surgeries that I couldn't otherwise do without his kindness, understanding, compassion and his positivity on the quality of life for his patients. I TRUST him with my life and will recommend him to anyone needing help. I wish there was more that I could do for him than just writing this review. He deserves it. THANK YOU Dr Altimari for all that you do!!

Dr Altamari and his staff were great. He performed a hernia surgery and everything turned out as planned.

He seemed completely uninterested in my suffering or anything I said. He was speeding in and speeding out of my hospital room. No attention to details. He had no empathetic capacity whatsoever for a severly sick patient.
