I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Sung, who offered excellent service, professionalism, attentiveness, and care in my surgery for prevention of glaucoma and cataracts.

I have been a glaucoma patient of Dr. Edward Sung for about 15 years. Dr. Sung is 100% about helping his patients. He is very intelligent, personable, and keeps up to date on current topics within his field of practice. He will always take the time to compassionately, and patiently discuss related medical topics.

Dr Sung is an excellent physician and eye surgeon who gives clear and concise information and has a friendly chairside manner. He is very responsive to patient needs and concerns. I recommend him with no reservations.

Edward Sung is retired. The current office that is taken over this practice clearly has lack of respect for their patients. My wife arrived 30 minutes early to her appointment in an office that had only 1 person in front of her. She approached the receptionist who she told she had a 5:45pm appointment. The receptionist responded with OK seeming not interested. My wife asked if she should sign in on the clipboard and the receptionist said no she would sign her in in a moment. Over the next 45 minutes, my wife watched two other patients come in after her and be brought back to waiting rooms before her. At 6:15 and three other patients going back to a waiting room to see the doctor while she continued to wait in the main waiting room my wife decided to tell the receptionist she was leaving and would perhaps reschedule. There was no consideration for my wife being early and she was not updated by anyone in the office that she would be next-door otherwise. In fact she overheard someone mentioned her name in the office while she was sitting but nothing said to her. If this had been a busy jampacked office waiting room would have been one thing, but the fact that my wife was the only person to be sitting in the waiting room made this absolutely ridiculous. That there was no communication and rude receptionist made it worse.

I cannot speak highly enough about Dr. Sung. He is extremely knowledgeable, very personable, honest, kind, compassionate, trustworthy and has a great bedside manner. He explains things in detail and thoroughly and provides options, if available. He welcomes questions and talks “with” his patients not “to” them. Dr. Sung is an extremely qualified & skillful surgeon. I could not be happier with the results of my cateract surgeries thanks to Dr. Sung. I highly recommend Dr. Sung, he’s a great Dr.

Have been going to Wheaton Clinic for over 30 years and you could not ask for a better doctor then Doctor Sung! He answers all your questions and gets to the bottom of all issues! You can not go wrong with him as your doctor!

This guy is outstanding! Did both my eyes ( cataracts) and one for my husband. Very precise and caring.

Dr Sung is excellent. He was recommended to me by my optometrist when I first showed signs of glaucoma. Dr Sung is very knowledgeable. He communicates well explaining my diagnosis and is extremely patient with answering questions. I've recommended him to family and friends.
