We had a weird visit in this clinic. Just recently my father had an Oculoplastics appointment with Dr. John Pak. Unfortunately, the visit turned out very cold and unpleasant. He needs to be more attentive to a detail treatment. Being a student of health science I would argue that he didn’t even diagnosed a treatment. He needs to bring compassion and empathy towards the patient. We are from a minority community and we certainly didn’t like his energy and left the clinic very confused about the experience…

I recently had upper and lower eyelid surgery at Northwestern, Central DuPage Hospital. Outstanding! With his professionalism, expertise, and compassion, Dr. John Pak performed my upper eyelid surgery. He tailored the procedure to meticulously restore my peripheral vision with an added bonus of a refreshed appearance of my once saggy eyelids which now appear younger and more alert. He is the best of the best!!!

Dr. Pak did a thorough assessment and evaluation prior to considering options. While surgery was one option, he cautiously proceeded to discuss others. Over several visits, surgery became of best decision. Surgery was done at a facility where the staff knew what to do, identified who they were and what their role was in my care. With Dr. Pak directing the surgery and all personnel involved, the outcome was successful.

Dr. Pak is definitely BEST OF THE BEST. He is professional, skillful, respectful, pleasant, polite, and he has excellent manners. I am truly blessed to have my surgery done by Dr. Pak. My primary doctor and friends are happily surprised to see how beautiful my eyes look now, no more droopy eyelids and extremely puffy eye bags. The world through my eyes is so much bigger now, at least 300% larger, because my eyes have been opened up through his amazing surgery. I feel so much safer and secure when I drive, especially at night. I can see so much more and I am eternally grateful. I wish I had this surgery years ago. I am totally happy. 5 minute visits before and after surgery. 1 1/2 hour surgery took half that time. Payment in advance and I received a refund from the hospital for a lesser time for use of room. My concerns about my vision afterward were met with a diagnosis and apology for not telling me sooner I had a disease. Told me to see another doctor but wait a year and a half after the surgery because a diagnosis will not be made before that time. He motioned me to the door and closed it behind me. Thousands of dollars later at an University hospital proved him wrong. I am still struggling to focus. Choose your surgeon carefully!!

Dr. Pak showed genuine concern for our elderly mother, who has a tumor in her eye. He was clearly pained that she felt such discomfort.

Dr. John Pak was rude- he rushed me through the process, not even 3 minutes- I feel I was treated differently for being a senior citizen. His mediocre diagnosis made me look for a second opinion which prompted me to have surgery. Incompetence and lack of respect.

Dr. Pak is an excellent eye surgeon. He has great bed manners, personable and attentive to patients needs. He was my husband's eye surgeon and the results of the eyelid surgery were extraordinary. In less than a week his eyelids healed and the results were extraordinary. We highly recommend Dr. Pak!
