This Dr. doesn’t belong in any industry that requires “care.” Her demeanor is beyond bad bedside manner- she is very likely to be physically and emotionally damaging for someone in Chronic Pain and likely depressed. Shame on Northwestern/MarianJoy for continuing to employ this Dr. after numerous complaints. All of which have a similar theme- she and the hospital are responsible for any and all damage she causes patients. Hopefully, this truthful review will be the last of her career.

A wonderful doctor. Takes the time needed, follows through and is very caring and personable. She really knows her stuff. I am a different person since beginning with Dr. Katta and her group. I haven’t felt this good for years.

If you have chronic pain, please do not see this person. She doesn’t care, she will be sure to demean you and make you feel hopeless by the end of your visit. I’m sorry to anyone that was hurt by her, there are more compassionate doctors out there.

She is extremely unprofessional. My second encounter ever with her she arrived very late. During that one visit she confused my medical history with another patient’s, disparaged my intellectual ability in an attempt to shame me due to my being on pain meds where I was a chronic pain sufferer attending a comprehensive pain program in which she is the main pain doctor. All of this occurred as she attempted to write her progress notes about everyone on a paper towel she had just grabbed.

Dr. Katta is very good, she identified a lot of problems I had just by looking at me. I found an article online that I thought would be helpful for me so I had one of my therapists send it to her and she actually read it and was willing to try different things till we can find a solution. I highly recommend her and her team at the Marianjoy Pain program

Severe anger issue. After a few visits she just snapped for no reason. Then did it again.crazy. Found a much better doctor. Pain program a joke,co pay away.

Dr. Katta does everything she can to help patients with chronic pain. She uses different treatment modalities when needed and is highly respectful and responsive. She is really up on the latest research for pain management and knows her stuff. I have never left an appointment feeling like I wasn't heard. The entire staff has been so helpful to me.

She has a very poor bedside manner. Maybe she doesn't like older people. I am in my 50's and she was very dismissive with me. I saw her twice and it was a waste of time and money. She has an air of superiority about her. I now have someone else who cares about patients.
