Susan J. Anderson-Nelson M.D's Online Review Report Card

Visited Dr. Anderson-Nelson yesterday due to some retinal issues that were identified in my routine eye exam at Wheaton Eye Clinic. I was prepared for less than satisfying news. Dr. Anderson-Nelson and her staff were thorough, professional, and compassionate. They listened to my comments and answered my questions. I could not be more pleased with the whole experience.

I’ve been to many doctors in my life and Dr. Anderson-Nelson is among the best and favorites. She is thorough, friendly, answers questions and very competent.

Dr. Anderson-Nelson recommended injections in my eye to treat symptoms of macular degeneration. I was terrified. She was calm, compassionate and gentle. I had a series of 6 injections and continue to have follow-up scans every 6 months. The issue has been in remission for 3 years with no loss of vision. I am grateful that I overcame my original fear and trusted Dr. Anderson-Nelson's diagnosis and recommendations.

Dr. Anderson-Nelson is fantastic. She has a great chairside manner. I’ve seen her 4x and she’s a delight to deal with. She also teaches which in my experience have always been the most informed and competent doctors. I’ve seen many doctors in my lifetime - she’s up there with the best.

Dr. Anderson-Nelson is great. I’ve seen her 4x and each time she made an unpleasant procedure very tolerable. She has a friendly demeanor and answered all my questions; I never felt rushed. She also teaches which in my experience have always been the most competent and informed doctors. I’ve seen many doctors in my life - she’s up there with the best.

Dr. Anderson-Nelson is the best! Compassionate, informative, gentle and most reassuring. I was terrified about getting a shot into my eye. I was afraid I’d panic in the chair but my fear was needless. It was painless and she talked me through it. I wish she could be my primary care doctor.

My experience with this doctor was very negative. Dr. Susan Anderson-Nelson seems to care more about money than her patients. During my visit, she showed no compassion, and she did not answer my questions clearly. I do not trust this doctor, and I would definitely not recommend her to my family and friends.

To each his or her own I suppose. I've been treated and know Dr. Susan Anderson-Nelson very well. It is rare to find a more professional, knowledgeable and compassionate individual. A person so frequently "on call" for any emergency, skilled in her profession, deeply spiritual and offering of her skill set voluntarily to those effected by HIV/AIDS in the Chicago area for so very many, many years now, does not deserve anything but high marks. You won't see my reviews peppered with nail salons, spas and the like. If I want eye care, I want someone who really knows their stuff and is less concerned with pampering me. Anyone of the caliber of Dr. Anderson-Nelson would be my "go to." The Wheaton Eye Clinic is one of the cleanest and most professional centers to be found. People should reflect deeply upon where they choose to receive their care. Don't be deceived. Here is where you can be assured of the Highest Quality Care.

Dr. Susan Anderson is amazing! She is patient and very attentive. Eye issues can be scary and Dr. Anderson was amazing in the care she provided! I would highly recommend Dr. Susan Anderson!!

Dr. Susan Anderson-Nelson has been compassionate and professional in her treatment of my husband and my retina issues. She took time with us and really listened to our concerns and our fears. We are grateful to have Dr. Anderson-Nelson care for our eye problems.
