Dr. Fishman was so friendly and engaging with my 8 year old. She relates wonderfully with kids, and my son was open and curious. She was thorough in her exam, and efficient so that we weren't waiting around a long time. We were very impressed with her care and expertise, and will be back again!

We just left our final appointment with Dr. Fishman. My daughter, unfortunately, is no longer classified as “pediatric” (even though she will always be my baby!). We have been with Dr. Fishman since my daughter was a year old. She has provided amazing care for a child who had a wide variety of vision issues. We were blessed to have Dr. Fishman, her associate, and office staff in our lives for nearly 18 years. My only regrets are that she doesn’t see adults and that I didn’t write this review earlier! Your child is definitely in excellent hands with Dr. Fishman.

Dr. Fishman was recommend to me through a friend and was wonderful with my daughter. She was very thorough and took the time to explain things to me and answer all my questions. The office staff is friendly and helpful. I appreciated that we were always seen promptly and never had to wait long past our appointment time.

Waste of an appointment. Dr Fishman refused to give pupillary distance in the prescription so I still can’t order glasses for my child. Front desk told us to measure it ourselves?! I am a physician. I found this disappointing for medicine, to have such lack of care for patients. No wonder people find it hard to get good medical care - I’m in the profession and found this unacceptable! Now I still need to find a caring pediatric ophthalmologist… I already miss our previous one who is retiring. My husband told me to leave this alone but I cannot professionally accept this behavior.

Dr. Fishman has very poor bedside manner, is very unprofessional, and her exam was very rushed. My daughter only being 4, and this being her first eye exam, was having trouble following her commands as she was speaking so fast and not giving her any time for her to process what she was asking her to do. I was having trouble following her myself.She seemed more concerned with my 4 year olds mask slipping under her nose. She spoke very condescendingly when I asked for clarification after she spoke 100 words per minute. I will add that the front desk was kind, and welcoming. The office was clean and neat. Can't say as much about Dr. Fishman.

The important thing to know is Dr Fishman literally saved our sons eye sight. Now let me share our experience:When my son was 4 months old we met Dr Fishman since my son was having issues with his eyes. He was severely crossed eyed and was apparent struggle seeing much. We were scared, sad, and uncertain of what we were to learn. It was clear after a few months of trying to figure out what was wrong.We were comforted by Dr Fishman from our first visit that she can help but it was critical we were to take action quickly. The muscles that make the eyes move and track needed adjustment and surgery required. Though not common Dr Fishman has been doing this with very successful result. Doing research and with her support and guidance we learned doing nothing would be serious and would cause vision loss and would be permanent. She was very helpful while having to make a difficult decision of what to do. We decided to move forward with Dr Fishman. She was patient and detailed about her approach and just has a very good bedside manner and just felt good that we knew this was the right path She complete the surgery and went extremely with major improvements. Over the course of two years there was a minor second surgery to do but that was very quick and since that we have visited for annual checkups.The thing I can share with you is that Dr. Fishman is truly a wonderful person an excellent doctor. I am happy to say that my son is now 14 years old and has had the gift of good vision and the fact that without the surgery that Dr. Fishman had done would've had issues with his eyes permanently for his life and we are grateful for all she has done to help our son see.I would highly recommend Dr Fishman! She's amazing!

Sometimes the best kind of Doctor is the one who sees something and knows that care is needed beyond what they can provid. We made an appointment with Dr. Fishman to have her check out something in my child's eye. She took one look and immediately told us we needed to see a specialist and arranged an appointment for us to see one within the hour. While the diagnostic journey we have been on since then on has been a difficult one, we are eternally grateful to Dr. Fishman for not ignoring what she saw and immediately getting us the help we needed.

Dr. Fishman is excellent with children. My very young son was shy and a bit anxious at his evaluation. She immediately knew what to do - watching her use play to do a comprehensive eye exam is truly magical - and he warmed up to her within a couple minutes, faster than I've ever seen him do that. She also took the time to put us at ease about certain things and explain in detail and relatable terms the other issues (I am unfamiliar with medical issues concerning the eye - she was incredibly helpful). I am so impressed with this office and the care, empathy, warmth, and professionalism before, during, and after our appointment.

We are very pleased to have found such an amazing pediatric opthalmologist. This is our very first time to see Dr. Deborah Fishman and thank you for being patient to our 5yr old son who is in the spectrum. You go above and beyond to make sure you did not miss anything and explained to us everything we need to know.We greatly appreciate your service along with your staff.
