List of Darcy S Majka's Reviews
I was assigned Dr. Majka when I was first diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 16 years ago. Hands down she has been the best doctor for managing my condition. She listens, asks questions, and follow up. She always listens to my concerns. I think she's terrific.
Horrible doctor. Did not discuss new and unfamiliar diagnosis or test results bc she “didn’t have time” but told me to research medications. She she not be treating people!
I struggle with what I can say that is different from all these other 1 star reviews however at least she is consistently awful? No bedside manner, seemed frustrated I didn't come with a diagnosis already, asked rude and intrusive questions about childhood and chastised about refusing treatment when I am already in treatment, just not the one she preferred, treatment for a condition outside of her scope and ability to diagnose. Don't see her simply because you can get in sooner like I did, there's a reason for that. Visits with doctors like her cause medical PTSD and I cannot understand why she practices or why she's still employed
Dr. Majka was prompt in seeing me. She listened carefully to my concerns and was thorough in her examination of my issues. I was impressed with her concern and the approach she took to finding out exactly what is going on. It was a great first visit,
Put me at risk during covid outbreak by refusing to renew a prescription unless I went to a clinic for a blood test. I have been on these meds for over 19 years without incident. All she was worried about was protecting herself by insisting I put myself at risk. I have immune defficiency issues and should never have been asked to do this as i was told by my general practice dr.
Great! I was very happy with my former doctor but he retired. I found Dr. Mark a very thorough and interested in my care.l
I am horribly disappointed with Dr Majka, particularly her bedside manner. She asks 20 questions but doesn't actually wait to hear an answer before jumping to the next one. So confusing!! Its not collaborative care either. "I decided this is the best option" and then gets mad and suggest going somewhere else if you don't want to follow her roadmap. There are many options, but she would not explain them to me. She told me to research it myself! I also asked for a prescription for a gym membership at the hospital closer to my house so I would be more apt to go, but it was clear she didn't want to give it to me because it's not part of dupage medical group.

I was a new patient experiencing new symptoms so I was exploring possible RA. Dr. Majka actually interrupted me several times when I tried to explain symptoms & lifestyle & instead just checked off her questions from her list of questions. She was very rushed & wanted to start me on medication before even taking any blood tests or X-rays!! After I insisted on waiting on test results for a formal diagnosis, she said we could discuss more at follow up appointment. At the follow up appointment where all my tests came back normal, except one which was slightly elevated, she didn’t even pull up any of the test results to discuss with me but rather asked me if I had thought anymore about the medications she had talked about in our previous visit. When I asked her why I needed this medication after all my test results except one had come back with only slight elevation she told me that she only had 20 minutes to spend with each patient and that’s what her employer recommends that she do so she doesn’t have time to discuss all of this with me, which was why she told me about the medications at our initial appointment so I could make a decision quickly at this appointment! All she wanted to do was push some pills on me and get me out of the office without taking any of my test results into consideration. I told her I was not comfortable with someone who didn’t even like to look at test results in charge of my medical care so I left. Do NOT trust a dr. who doesn’t listen to you & just wants to shove pills at you without looking at test results,
Dr. Majka has a very personal approach. She really made me feel at ease mostly because she listened to me, things have been upside down the past year, I am so glad I chose her. My health issues have been very scary but she puts me at ease. She is responsive to questions and sometimes I can be buggy. I am so glad I found her and she is with DMG.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
