I can't say enough about the wonderful professional care and advice I received from the team at Athletico on Green Bay Road in Winnetka. Each and every one of the team members I encountered showed a professional presence and a positive energy that made the sessions pleasant, friendly and effective. In particular, the PTs Sarah, Vanessa and Brian provided excellent care, but also the assistants Dutch, Ang and others made the exercise periods enjoyable and at the same time made sure the approach and technique were on point. But finally, the leader of this team Kathleen Christell, is one of the key reasons for the successful treatment I received. She gave top notch professional advice, expert hands on treatment - - including dry needling that made a huge difference - - insuring I had a comprehensive home exercise program and keeping me accountable in a friendly way. It was also apparent that she was an excellent people manager, providing a friendly and effective work environment and at the same time, motivating the team to be the best they can be. I will100% recommend this facility and Athletico team to anyone and everyone I encounter - - they are simply awesome!!

Athletico, and in particular, Samantha, is an amazing physical therapist. Professional, knowledgable, kind and committed. She restored my wrist movement from a plate and 9 screws to full functionality. AND a delightful human!! Highly recommend!!

I have just “graduated” my OT program at Athletico. My therapist Samantha “Sam” Cooper (Winnetka) was excellent and I highly recommend Sam. When I started with Sam last May, I was in bad shape, both physically and in spirit. I had negligently failed to address a severe case of carpal tunnel which left my index finger, my middle finger and the thumb , on my right hand completely numb. Finally getting the necessary surgery, as the numbness abated, I alarmingly discovered a complete lack of motor skills which prevented me from performing the simplest of tasks such as buttoning my shirt, turning a light switch, opening packaging and manipulating my dining utensils. I was completely demoralized and unable to envision the path back to normal functioning . The task of rebuilding atrophied muscles and reconnecting neural pathways was totally obscured and at times beyond my reach. But more than just a highly skilled and knowledgeable therapist, Sam was long on empathy and positive energy. Without which I could never have persisted in traversing the uphill climb which consisted of on an ongoing repertoire of maddeningly simple and repetitive tasks. It was baby step after baby step. No short cuts. And Sam made the singles seem like home runs and the shortfalls seem like singles. Buttoning my shirt yesterday was like hitting a grand slam! Thank you Sam!!

Sam, the occupational therapist, who I've been working with for the past 8 months has been absolutely amazing and instrumental in my recovery. Sam went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a great recovery journey and regaining of function. Sam is one of a kind and I am so grateful for her help! Thank you Sam!

I have had three separate occasions to receive treatment at this location, each involving significant surgeries over the last 4 years. Each time, I have had an outstanding experience. Currently I am doing physical therapy with Kathleen, and she has been amazing. The entire staff there is wonderful, whether it be the front desk or the assistants who work with patients in their various exercises. The attention is individualized, so professional, and constantly changing to address the patient's progress. My current recovery is from a badly fractured ankle, and after two months I have gained so much improvement in my balance, strength and confidence, that I am doing things today that I did not think would be possible two months ago. I strongly recommend this location to anyone, no matter the injury or condition.

Mismanaged with appointments and billing

I have frequented Athletico Winnetka a number of times for chronic lower back pain and for knee and shoulder surgery rehab. I can't say enough about the facility. The staff is very professional and pleasant, the facility excellent and well-run. Highly recommend !!

I have not had much success with physical therapy for chronic lower back and hip pain until recently when I received help from Kathleen Christell at Athletico, Winnetka. I was impressed with Kathleen’s professionalism, her knowledge and expertise, and her ability to correctly diagnose and rehabilitate the source of pain. I am now pain free 90% of the time and when I have occasional back/hip pain, I am able to manage and alleviate the pain through exercises provided by Kathleen. Thank you, Kathleen, and Athletico.
