Jimmy S. Zhu's Online Review Report Card

I have a history of spinal stenosis. 3 spots. 2 crushed disks in my neck. A failed backsurgery. I am in a ton of pain twenty 24/7. Life is hard at times. I'm having new pain above and below the fusion that I got in 2019. I have arthritis in both hips. I asked him to order mri CT or xray that he could take a look and decide if there's anything he can do to treat my pain through surgery. Im desperate! He tells me there's nothing surgically he can do for me! what? Without looking at anything, he had come to that decision, Instead he ordered a $12,500.00 shots in my hips. I have had eleven at medical communities and private practices. So I know thr price. Only one gave merelief in my neck for twenty hourI have my own pain management. Private practice that I go to so it couldn't be that. How can this guy be so obtuse? I've seen him twice and I am very disappointed that this guy is so ridiculous. Not going back to him and I don't recommend him. Stay away! A waste of time and money.

From the moment you walk in your experience is great. Dr Zhu is great, before surgery he explained everything from start to finish. Two weeks after surgery I was already having better movement in my neck and shoulders. By six weeks the pain is very controlled, I have better balance when walking. I can't thank him enough. Dr Zhu is an amazing spinal surgeon. I have had many Doctors over the years and his approach to my issues was above all others. He gave me my life back with lower back surgery in February follow up with neck surgery in April. I absolutely recommend him what a great doctor.

I was the May 2nd 2023 review. When Dr. Zhu has to do surgery, he sets up for home health care after a surgery, where in my case an OT therapist came to the house once a week, then Dr. Zhu recommended physical therapy, which I was hesitant, but I did. I went to Athletico, they massage your back, make you do exercises, then at end massaging electrodes and heat . Physical therapy will get rid of scare tissue. Do what the Doctor orders!

Dr. Zhu is an honest and concern doctor. Giving his expertise he recommend holding off surgery. Although my injury seemed major on MRI. He suggested giving it time to heal naturally rather than rushing to surgery. I was amazed that his first thought was not surgery. I really appreciate his conservative approach which really built my trust with him. In the end it worked and my body healed very well with no need for surgery. An exceptional doctor. I recommend him 100%.

I was extremely nervous to see Dr. Zhu b/c my condition came out of the blue and was extremely serious. When I first met him he struck me as very young, but I had researched him and knew he was extremely educated and highly respected in his field. He immediately took charge of my case, created a step by step approach, and included my concerns. Dr. Zhu didn't rush, he carefully thought about my situation and presented the best option for me. Dr. Zhu included my family and respected their feelings. He made sure we all understood what was being done and how long the recovery could be. Prior to surgery, he called me numerous times to touch base and go over procedures. I informed him of a surgical fear I have and he took that serious, making sure it was addressed prior to the anesthesia beginning. Every follow up appointment has been the same as my first appointment had been. He still tells me to call with any questions and I know he will answer. I would highly recommend Dr. Zhu.

I went to Dr Jimmy Zhu office because my wife was having a terrible back pain. The entire office is amazing. Dr Jimmy Zhu cares about patients a lot, you can feel that when he talks to you. He answered all the questions that my wife had without rushing things. He helped my wife understand why she was doing through that pain after reviewing the MRI with us explaining the whole things in a language that we can easily understand. Other members in office were also very helpful, Arely PSR was amazing, she was very helpful with all the paperwork that we needed from Dr office. Thank you. Dr Jimmy Zhu & Arely. Dr.Jimmy Zhu did a great job explaining the surgery procedure to me in a very clear manner. Their whole staff was caring and professional. Their hospital visits reassured me that I would be fine. And asked me if I had any questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Very easy process and a good experience. Loved Dr Zhu’s confidence and ability to answer all questions in a very detailed and professional manner.
