dr towers has been my pcp for 23 years. he has always been attentive and caring. his staff was responsive to phone calls and setting priority for me as a long time, now senior and disabled patient. dr towers handled the transition from hospital and pt following a catastrophic and near fatal accident 5 years ago. i am grateful for his care. unfortunately since duly took over from dupage medical group, getting access for visits to ensure timely authorization of prescriptions renewal or routine care as defined by medicare and bcbs ppo supplemental is filled with obstacles and frustration. expect to be rerouted to urgent care or immediate care. good luck getting an appointment there. plan on being treated by medical personnel who do not know you or your medical history. there appears to be no way around this unless you happen to have an annual checkup scheduled. expect to wait two months for that. it is the only access you can have now to this fine doctor. duly system is a hindrance to quality care.

Very friendly, really cares about his patients and doesn't rush you along. I have had faith in Dr. Towers for over 20 years.

Dr. Joe Towers is one of the best patient orientated professionals that I have had the pleasure to call my doctor. Dr. Towers always listens and reacts to whatever your concern is. Very attentive to your needs and concerns and always checks out the facts before giving advice. He always takes the time, no matter how long or short your question are, and will never rush you out. I will never change doctors. His staff and associates are always helpful and willing to help out. DuPage medical group is VERY lucky to have him in their group.

It's so disappointing to write this because this practice is near my house and I wanted to like it, but I have has nothing but bad experiences since I first came here. I booked my new patient visit a month in advance. They call me the day before to cancel because they messed up the appointment. At that point I had been really needing to see the doctor for about a week - I was sick and looking forward to getting treatment at that appointment. I asked them to keep my appt so they did. Doctor was 40 minutes late coming in, but he apologized and was nice. I explained to him that I have chronic strep throat and need antibiotics often. I also get nasty cold sores and need Valtrex occasionally. A few weeks later, I was 3 hrs away for work when I woke up with a cold sore. I knew it was going to get bad quickly so I called to see if he could call in a prescription. His nurses didn't seem to care, kept telling me he'll do it "when he gets to it at the end of the day." Cold sores have to be treated IMMEDIATELY or they burst out of control. After a whole day of waiting for him to do something, I finally left work and went to the closest urgent care which gave me the Valtrex. Why couldn't Towers have just done that? Thanks to waiting, the cold sore burst and took 2 weeks to heal. A month later I'm on a work trip again and wake up with Strep throat. Again, this is something that gets out of control quickly. I call at 7:30 am the minute they open - same thing - "He'll get to it later." I texted my husband to tell him and he was so upset that he drove over to the office with our kids still in pajamas to ask them to fill the script. They made him stand there for 45 minutes before they agreed to do it. No compassion. No caring for my situation at all. The front office staff is completely nasty. Sending over a prescription takes 2 minutes. There's no reason to make someone wait who's in pain, having to work hours away from home. I shouldn't have to find an urgent care in a strange city when I have a doctor.

Dr Towers is a very nice personable man but he misdiagnosed my son... TWICE! He did not spot an ear infection ,upon the visit,only to have my sons eardrum burst on the way home from the appt! Second mistake he made was treating him for a pulled muscle that was actually an anal absess! Stay away... This man is clueless!!!

I've been seeing Dr. Towers for over a year and a half and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a physician. He actually cares about his patients, which in the world of more more more, and maximizing efficiency by treating patients with the bare minimal, Dr. Towers is a breath of fresh air. The staff is always nice, ready to help and are always fast in getting back to me, Plus I never wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. Just recently, I was switching insurance plans and I insisted on the one where I can still be seen by Dr. Towers. I wanted to post this on yelp because I chose Dr. Towers after I saw his 100% patient rating on heathgrades and was surprised that there weren't more reviews on this site. I give him 5 stars, hands down best physician I've ever had.
