Dr Ahsan is amazing. We went to him after my high school daughter hurt her shoulder in lacrosse. We started with a conservative approach, and did PT for weeks. After her shoulder remained unstable, we went ahead with surgery. Through the whole process, Dr Ahsan was thorough in his exams, answering questions, and follow up. My daughter had very little pain after surgery, and we were referred to the best PT for rehab. His staff was always very kind in our follow up appointments. I would fully recommend Dr Ahsan

Dr. Ahsan performed knee surgery on my son due to an athletic injury. All of our appointments were very timely. Dr. Ahsan was very kind and a great listener. His PA was also very professional. The surgery went beautifully. Recovery was fully successful thanks to the skill of his recommended PT referral. My son is back in his sport and able to complete at the collegiate level.

A lack of experience or a lack of concern for patient well-being is my opinion of this doctor. As a senior citizen that has had multiple surgeries, I can compare my experience with Dr Ahsan to my experience with other doctors. I live alone but was sent home from surgery without pain meds after a major surgery, although Medicare will cover two weeks of home health this doctor did not prescribe it but I was expected to start physical therapy the day after surgery even though I couldn't drive yet, and now that I'm two months out I can't get an answer to a question sent through My Chart four days ago. You can be the best surgeon in the world but there's so much more to being a good doctor and that's making sure that the patient has everything they need to recover fully. I'm disappointed in this doctor!

Dr. Ahsan was the surgeon for my second ACL repair (thankfully on the opposite leg I injured the first time), and he has been great throughout the process. From initial consultation to surgery to post-op visits he has shown care for my condition, has listened to me whenever I've had questions, and has always been polite and to the point. Dr. Ahsan worked with me to speed up my recovery to being months sooner than what I experience with my first ACL repair, which was tough but extremely worthwhile. Although I hope to never need another similar surgery, I would trust Dr. Ahsan to do it again and again.

Excellent doctor

I had shoulder surgery with a very bad outcome. Dr. Ashan shows no concern or empathy and his communication is very poor. Six months into my recovery and I still have very limited range of motion and constant severe pain.

He explained the MRI pretty well and showed me where the injuries were and answered my questions re: procedure and what to expect in rehab and after.

Dr. Ahsan was very personable and professional. He made no assumptions of what I was there for and answered all of my, and my wife’s, questions. Evaluated my shoulder and then told me what my options are. I felt confident making my decision going forward and that is what I wanted from the visit.
