Laura Farrington's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Farrington and her team were phenomenal. She truly cares about her patients. She takes time and explains everything. She is always willing to explain everything. She is very knowledgeable and her team is also exceptional. Very compassionate and professional.

I’m a healthcare practioner who has cancer, i did not have a good experience with this doctor. Not very straightforward and came off as being “fake”. Not all patients want a hug every time they walk in the room, she needs to respect personal space. Did not explain treatment plan well.

I experienced CTCA for approximately 4 years after my sister suffered from metastatic breast cancer. It was a great experience for her and my family. She really enjoyed traveling to Illinois for her treatments because she felt everyone was supportive and positive there. However, as my sister's cancer spread, she began to weaken. She went to visit Dr. Laura Farrington in August 2017 after suffering with the cancer and some other hardships. She was happpy to be back at CTCA. Unfortunately the happiness was short lived when Dr. Farrington entered the room. I had never seen her behave so coldly, insensitive, and uncaring towards my sister before. I couldn't believe this was the same doctor who had shown such care and concern in the past. She proceeded to ask my sister dryly, "Where have you been? Why are you here?" My sister had been a strong survivor for 14 years. But that day, I finally saw sadness and fear in her eyes. Dr. Farrington went over her scans and abruptly told her to go to Hospice because she had 3 months to live. As a family, we know the battle of dealing with cancer and what the outcome can be. However, my prayer is that no one has to ever experience the pain, sadness and lack of concern that my sister, myself or niece experienced with Dr. Farrington in August. My sister has since passed away. She didn't get those 3 months but we made sure she left this earth surrounded by people who loved her and with dignity. Unfortunately, I can't say Dr. Farrington left her with those feelings. My prayer is that if she has to be COLD towards people who are battling cancer and literally fighting for their lives on a daily basis then leave the profession because no one fighting for their life deserves to feel as empty and devalued as she made my sister feel on that sunny August afternoon.

Her bedside manner is flawless. She comes in prepared to see you, complete with reports, and printed in formation for you to take. She delivers information that is easy to understand and comprehend.

Dr. Farrington is wonderful. She listens to you know matter how how small or how trivial you think the question is. She takes the time to talk with you and explain things.
