I didn't see him in person, but had to call in for help. He was actually mean to me. Follow up the next day with the office was even worse. They were short, unhelpful and didn't call back as promised. Just not acceptible

Poor communication with patients and even worse pre-op preparation. A family member of mine was opened up and on the table for a kidney stone removal when this doctor "discovered" that his nephrostomy instruments were too short my 10 cm. This family member had provided Dr. Khan with a complete CT file on CD where the challenges of adipose tissue could have been anticipated. Instead, they had to abort the procedure and send her home.

My whole experience with this practise was terrible.

My entire experience with UroPartners and Dr. Khan has been terrible. I came in initially, referred by Dr. Giron with urinary issues that suggested BPH. Dr. Khan did laser surgery. From first follow up visit it became clear that the surgery did not go as expected. Healing was slower than advised. A 30 day post surgery period became 5 months. The office failed to respond to Rx order for mail order and I was forced to use local pharmacy, tripling the costs of my meds. Calls to Dr. Khan were not returned in a timely manner if at all. A process of leaving messages for medical assistants ended in "answers" coming back that did not match "questions." I was last told by Dr. Khan on my last visit to let current Rx run out and that he would not need to see me for a year, but that I would never ejaculate again as long as I lived. I was in shock. I called back to say so after the shock passed, and for 5 days I was unable to get a response despite repeated calls into the office. Yesterday, when I finally got hold of Susie who had failed to call me back as promised, she said she was talking to Dr. Khan as he was coming out of an exam room. After 15 minutes on hold, she came back and said Dr. Khan wanted me to change from Tamulosin to another prostate relaxer for 2 months. He had just told me to stop taking both my meds. Answers do not match questions. I am meeting with Dr. Giron to seek a new urologist next week. I will never suggest UroPartners to anyone. I will report the poor medical service. I will share the poor medical and extremely poor communications to Dr. Giron and others. I came in with urinary problems, and am leaving being told my sexual life is forever negatively impacted, and the care shown by basic respectable communications non-existent. I am devastated.

Dr. Khan is a caring, experienced provider who takes the time to explain issues with his patients. I have been seeing him for over 30 years and have complete confidence in his advice and care.

Dr. Khan does not take the time to understand discomfort or pain. He ha been late to both my surgeries. I tried to tell him through his assistance the pain meds he prescribed made me feel poorly both physically and mentally. This was on a Monday, hoping he would get back to me. Neither he or his assistant returned my call with an alternative. I have had 2 surgeries and since my first (emergency) I have spoken with him a total of 5 minutes under the influence of anesthesia. No bedside manner. Also he goes away a lot. I am waiting to have a stent removed and have been put off for 2 weeks. It may be no big deal to the doctor... I wonder if he has had to have one of these indefinitely... you have to pee every 10 minutes!

I like Dr. Khan. But the office staff has no concept of customer service. Appointments are double/triple booked, causing wait times to exceed an hour even if you have early morning appointment. They tell you 2-4 DAYS for lab results.... but then when you call back in 2+ weeks, they say "Oh, the docor has been on vacation"... as if there was no way to predict that 2 weeks earlier.... and as if one of the other four doctors in the practice could not have provided some test results. Then, when you call to ask for follow up, you are promised a "return call" within next 4 hours.... but of course none comes. Its ridiculous.

I visited Dr. Kahn's office because I had microscopic blood in my urine. He advised me to do a biopsy of the prostate (since it was high) and an irradiation of my kidneys. He said it would be nothing major.Right after the procedure, he decided to also add a stent because he couldn't figure out what the obstruction was.The hasty decision to do a biopsy and stent could have been questioned. I got a fever the next day and was sent to the ER because of high fever and convulsions. Suffered from a UTI in the urine and was in the hospital for 7 days since they couldn't find the right antibiotic to combat the infection.Because of my bed rest, my general dr. diagnosed me with gout in my leg for some reason and got more pills. Dr. Kahn then wanted to view and go inside to see what the obstruction was, but I again got another fever and was rushed to the ER. I got another UTI because of the stent and Dr. Kahn kept denying that the UTI was becasue of the stent. we told him several times to remove the stent but he didn't want to. he then went back in my ureter and after 6 weeks was that all i had was inflamation. he said it might have been cancer but the biopsy came out positive. BEcause of the bed rest, the nurses forgot to put oxygen in my legs and i got a clot. more medicine (comudin). Dr. Kahn didn't seem to care and now started blaming all the blood coming out of my urine because of that.after the 6 weeks, he removed the stent and i have been fine ever since. he made my body and mind felt horrible. he never would call back, when i would rush to the ER< he was never on call and the other dr.s wouldn' t visit me.i believe this was for money. i read that doing these procedures is more than $150,000, and it was uneccesary to do all of this. i wouldn't trust this doctor. i went to another one and i feel much better here. they actually care.
