My experience with this laborist at IU West Labor and Delivery was absolutely awful. Never have I ever experienced such unprofessionalism from a physician. She had a smart mouth right off the gate and was highly inappropriate and rude. She came in to talk to me with an attitude like I was wasting her time and she could care less to listen to me on why I was there. I was in pain and had been for weeks and I went in to make sure there wasn’t anything else going on and I was told to go to labor and delivery instead of ER by the on call nurse. I wa originally going to go to the ER but then I was told not to go to the ER. This Dr tried to tell me that my pain under my left breast was unrelated to pregnancy even though I have never had this issue prior to pregnancy and my pcp told me it was related to pregnancy. When I tried to explain to her that it had to be related because I have never had pain there before and my uterus was pushing everything up she didn’t want to listen to me and actually asked me if I were to fall and break my leg if that would be related to pregnancy as well. Of course I told her no because that is a completely separate location on the body. Then when I told her she was very rude and disrespectful and how she was talking to me was high inappropriate with her being a Dr and taking care patients. She then rolled her eyes and said I’m sorry you feel that way. I told her that wasn’t an apology and when you apologized you don’t say I’m sorry you feel that way. Her sarcasm, disgusting attitude, and lack of care was appalling for a Dr being her position to take of expectant of mothers. I was so upset that I felt my face getting hot and with me being a high risk pregnancy and my baby also being high risk that was the last thing we needed to encounter.
