Online Reviews Breakdown
List of Christine M. Bender's Reviews
My son had horrible problems sleeping delt with sore throat all the time but she refused to consult him to RNT until he had multiple positive step occurances. Finally I took him to Scott curry and he immediately booked for tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. Myhe said my son had the biggest adenoids he'd ever seen. And has been healthy ever since.
The office staff has been exceedingly rude to my daughter. They shamed her for being a working mother. The nurse has refused to pass repeated requests for the doctor to return her calls. Due to this situation my grandson will have to have a surgery which could have been prevented. My daughter is trying to get care elsewhere but due to the pandemic she can't get an appointment in time.
We love Dr. Bender and have been using her for many years. She is very attentive and always cheerful. There was a time when we felt we were in her office every other week. I apologized for coming in so often but she said there will be a time when you won't see me except for well checkups and she was right. I sorry to say we don't use her now because we moved to Tennessee but I highly recommend her.
She was very thorough and asked a lot of questions to completely understand the issues at hand. Dr. Bender was very personable and handle my baby very well. I really enjoyed our visit.
We love Dr. Bender and plan on driving over to her even after we move to the Broad Ripple area.
While I hate to say this is any fault of Dr. Bender or anyone with this practice because it actually falls on the administrative staff hired on, but this was one of the rudest places I've come into contact with. I tried calling to schedule an appointment to for my son and was repeatedly interrupted as I was talking. The receptionist (or whoever answers the phone there) asked for insurance information which I provided her with. Then, I was interrupted again while trying to explain our situation and why I was looking to bring my son to this office in the first place. She asked how I planned on obtaining medical records. While I do not mind having to gain access to those, considering the attitude she gave me that I didn't just have them ready available for her was pretty frustrating. Not to mention, my son's physician closed her practice so finding out who to call is pretty difficult at this point and the receptionist made it clear this was not her problem. I cannot speak on the competency of the physicians, but I really am tired of having difficulty with the administrative staff at hospitals who come in just to get a paycheck and who care little about actually putting forth any effort to help out a caller, patient, or parent. It's pathetic. When I told her I would call another physician's office who was a little kinder she made it clear she could care less. It would have been nice if she showed concern and had offered any help at all. I would not recommend this office to anyone, no matter how good someone thinks the physician is because you have to deal a lot with administrative staff and rudeness is never acceptable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
