I have been using Dr Kaplan to treat my Dupuytren Contracture for several years. I would recommend consulting him for any hand to shoulder issues.

Dr. Kaplan, his associate, and staff were very thorough in diagnosing and recommending the proper treatment for my injury. I was referred to him and I think he is the right person to care for this.

Saw Dr Kaplan for the first time in Feb. I have a progressive genetic disorder, so I'm pretty good at reading my body and knowing when something is wrong. Dr Kaplan stated he was aware and understood my condition, yet any concern I had was downplayed and pushed aside by him. Wrote me off by ordering PT, even after I expressed concern. 6 weeks later, after increased pain and discomfort, staff finally ordered proper imaging which showed an injury that was made worse during those PT appts. Surgery was needed, which could have been discovered much earlier had the Dr listened to the patient. Dr Kaplan was too worried about closing the surgery deal after proper imaging rather than admitting he knew nothing about the disorder and his surgery approach would have done more harm. Glad I finally listened to my gut and found a Dr elsewhere who was actually experienced and knew what they were talking about.

This time I saw Dr. Cornelius, but every doctor I have seen at IHSC has been very thorough. They take the time needed to get a good understanding of the issues you are having. They explained options on courses of treatment so I could make the best choice for myself. I love having PT available on-site so you can get recommendations on therapy right away. Overall great service and really helpful staff.
