Dr. Atkins was just finishing up his last year of medical school at USHS & assisted in the birth of my son at Bethesda Naval Medical Center in 07. Initially, I wasn't thrilled to have all these residents & interns in & out of my l & d room while in labor, & was having difficulties w/ the spinal they gave me. Dr. Atkins NEVER left my side & acted as a birth coach w/my husband, he was very sweet, caring, & family oriented. He also was firm w/my battle-ax of a night nurse in the postpartum unit. A great doc! Army is lucky to have him!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Atkins to all women who are military spouses and are about to have a baby. He takes his time with his patients. He listens and is very concerned when it comes to your needs.
