I would NEVER recommend Dr. Fornefeld. He said I needed cataract surgery which he performed and months later my vision in that eye is no better and at times worse than before the surgery. Additionally, he charged me for a service he did not perform and which was not covered by my insurance.

Dr. Fornefeld has been my ophthalmologist for now going on 40 years. He did my care for a retinal detachment, did my Lasik surgery and then did my left eye for a cataract surgery. Nearly 40 years of business. I remember meeting him early on when he joined Grossman before Grossman built his large surgery center. He was excited over the purchase of a hot little red sports car. So many visits and then followed him to his own practice. All this has come crashing to an end over $14.35. After a difficult and humbling summer of an extended loss of work due to a fracture of my 5th metatarsal on my right foot I was unable to work for 5 months. I did not immediately pay the $14.35 co-pay on my most recent bill. After not paying it as I was playing catchup on rent and other bills I received a letter from his office, signed by him, firing me as a patient. So I will be paying the bill, and plan to tack on some extra for inconvenience and will be shopping for a new ophthalmologist. Interesting times.

My vision has never been very good. I am elderly and it sure was not getting any better. Dr. Fornefield did surgery on both my eyes for cataracts. I am beyond pleased. My vision is now better than I can ever remember it being. Colors are vibrant. My only regret is that I did not do it sooner.

Dr. Fornefeld was excellent! He explained things very well, was kind and considerate. I did not have to wait in the office to see him. I am very satisfied with my cataract surgery and follow up. I highly recommend Dr. Fornefeld!

I never got to see the doctor as I had been waiting for an hour and a half and had to leave due to other obligations. My wait time would have been 45 minutes, which is still unacceptable, but the office manager mistakenly gave my appt. to another woman. There was another patient that had to cancel his appt. that day also due to the wait time. I believe the office is in need of a competent office manager. I will not be back.
