I have been a patient of Dr.Brazus for many years and he’s always used those dilating drops in my eyes. I went to another opthamalogist 2 years ago and found out that those drops are only used for patients with known diseases of the eye. He even used these drops on my 24 year old daughter. As of today, he now has a form for you to fill out to consent to these drops. It clearly says it’s for people 65 and over and may cause glaucoma. One of the ladies at the front desk got really nasty with me because I wouldn’t sign the form and told me that it was up to Dr. Brazus to decide if I needed the drops or not. I told her these were my eyes and I get to decide, not him. He’s been using these drops on me for years without my consent and knowledge of any adverse side effects. My daughter and I will never go back there again.
This man twice misdiagnosed my condition. Left untreated it would have caused blindness. He's cold and unfriendly. Thank goodness I had sense enough to go see another doctor, who took the time to diagnose my condition correctly and save my vision
I like my obstetrician and I will not lie, you other doctors can't deny... enough of that. I very much like my eye doctor. He takes time to explain everything to me. Waits are not long. His prescription has always been right on the money and he is also an eye surgeon to boot. He is patient- I never feel rushed. If you need an eye doctor conveniently located near St Vincent hospital (Harcourt), you should look into this one!
Great bedside manner. very detail and patient doctor.
This physician has deplorable bedside manner....very unfriendly and cold. Does not even speak to you by name. Does not listen or respond to your comments. I am not there to chit chat but he just walks in and doesn't even make eye contact, sits with his computer and just does what he has to do,almost robotic. I made a comment to him which required a response and thinking he did not hear me I repeated myself and he completely ignored me!!! I have no idea if he is a skilled physician but what I do know is I will not go back because good or not he is a cold fish. Then had the nerve to hand me his business card to give to my friends!! I would not send my worst enemy to him!!! Pompous!!!
Had one visit and done with Dr. Brazus. He was not very personable ... did not attempt to have natural conversation with me and after all that left the room without showing me out. It took a second to realize the visit was over; very unprofessional. He may be good but I will not be treated that way by someone providing me service (if I have a choice).Keep looking. But I will not be back.
Dr. Brazes is one of those doctors who thinks they don't need to smile or even talk to you. He came in to the exam room, said his name was Dr. Brazes and then began the exam. He never once smiled or made any type of polite conversation. At the end of the exam he left without saying the exam was over. I sat in the room for 10 minutes before I figured out that he was done. He's probably a great doctor, and knows everything to know about eyes. I'm probably going to have contact lenses that are the just right prescription, but there are plenty of doctors who can do this with out being curt. I felt uncomfortable the whole time he was examining me. The worst part about this practice was not even Dr. Brazus himself. The worst part is the old lady optics technician. I don't know what her name is but she's about 65 years old. She showed me 3 or 4 glasses that had rhinestones and crystals on them (and were $300 for the frame only) and told me they were perfect for me. They WOULD be perfect for me if I was a 65 year old lady with tacky taste. I picked out two less expensive frames, that were simple black frames that looked kind of nerdy, and told her iI liked them. Her response was "those are not right for you at all. They wont look right on you." When i INSISTED that I wanted that type of frames, she told me to go home and think about it, because the crystal Dolly Parton glasses were perfect for me. I'm not making this stuff up, people! Later, when I decided to fill my glasses prescription online instead, and went into the office to ask for my prescription, she pursed her lips and treated me like I was stealing from them. I will never go to this Doctor again. Except for next week when i have to go back for my follow up :(

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
