I had rotator cuff surgery couldn’t be happier. The recovery was long but followed instructions as they recommended and I am fully recovered. Doctor Snead and his assistant were great. Thanks for putting me back together ??

Dr Snead was the perfect surgeon for me. He and his PA ,Thomas, did an amazing job on my hand surgery. They were very informative, caring, and very easy to understand all that was going to happen in advance, from beginning to end. Forte facility was the perfect place also. Follow his instructions and your surgery will all go well.

Dr Snead did a RCR two years ago. Post-op I knew my course of recovery was unusual from the beginning. He sent me to his pain specialist for evaluation of possCRPS. She speculated that it was perhaps nerve impingement and made referral to another surgeon. Dr Snead said I did not need to go. This was 2 weeks post op. I did therapy (joke) they billed one hour for 20 minutes with therapist. At each visit I told dr Snead and his PA something was wrong and thought I needed an EMG. They refused to make referral. By my 5-6 month visit he came in the room and said I had a failed surgery and maybe the doctor I saw at two weeks was right Turns out I have a brachial plexus injury from surgery if it had been addressed in the beginning it likely would not be so bad. I am an NP so I have a clue what good or even sufficient Medicine is. This is unequivocally not. Stay away !!!!

My experience was not good overall. I only saw the doctor a few minutes each visit and interfaced with his PA most of the time. The doctor has a poor bedside manner and does not seem to like to answer questions. Unfortunately I had surgery done on my wrist. Five months later it has gotten worse and now I probably need to 2 more surgeries to get my wrist healthy again. Regarding the staff, when setting up my surgery, I was cautioned that I really needed to want a specific date because “it is really difficult to reschedule it” and causes her “a lot of work”.

do not suggest this MD if you have tendonitis. He was 40 minutes late to the appt, and when he arrived I was warranted only 5 mins of his time, as a brand new pt. Arrogant is the word to describe him.

My shoulder was replaced 7 years ago. I recovered nicely and achieved full range of motion. A year ago I started having bicep and shoulder pain. Dr. Snead was compassionate and felt my implant was too large and was eroding my rotator cuff. After diagnostic studies he felt I would benefit from a replacement revision. I awoke from surgery and he told me my rotator cuff was fine so all he did was replace my old implant. I started physical therapy a 3 weeks after surgery. I has having tremendous pain especially in my bicep and the implant was making a lot of noise. I saw Dr. Snead one month after surgery and told him about the pain and noise. In a very condescending manner he told me that everything I told him was normal and not to worry. He also told me that I didn’t have to wear the sling at home and only wear it out of the house for protection. A month later I had a follow up and Dr. Snead actually scolded me for wearing the sling. I repeated what he told me at the previous appointment and asked him why would I wear the sling if I didn’t have to? He then proceed to tell me that the pain in my bicep was from depending on the sling which I had on less than 5 hours a week. My PT sent him copious notes detailing my lack of progress and dysfunctional muscles. The week after my follow up my “new” shoulder started dislocating, it finally got to the point that my PT literally had to hold my shoulder in place so I could do my exercises. She sat me down and told me she had a meeting with 4 other therapists because she was so frustrated with my shoulder. They were familiar with Dr. Snead and told her 90% of his patients that came into the PT clinic did not have favorable outcomes and they suggested a 2nd opinion. I canceled my 3rd follow up with Dr. Snead and just had an appointment with a different doctor. The 1st thing he said was my “new implant was too big. After a CT scan I am now looking at having my 2nd replacement replaced. Shoulder surgery is one of the most painful surgery to have and I now have to have replacement surgery again because of Dr. Snead’s incompetence. After 3 months of PT twice a week I can only lift my arm as high as my breast. I can’t pick up anything, do my hair, drive, eat with my right hand or blow my nose. My shoulder is literally held in place with tape and it is still dislocating 10 to 15 times a day. I have had several surgeries done by doctors in this practice and they are terrific. Dr. Snead treated me like an elderly, hysterical hypochondriac. I am none of those things. Stay away from this doctor.

I would highly recommend Doctor Snead if you want results and want to get back to 100% after an injury. He did my operation after a wrist injury from an auto accident. He expects a lot from his patients and will push you harder than you feel you want to be pushed but in the end it is worth it. I had a lot of other injuries and pain after my accident so it was hard to focus on my recovery with him but he would not accept anything less than my best effort. He was always direct and honest and always open to answer any questions. When I wasn't progressing the way he thought I should be, he increased my physical therapy sessions. I wasn't thrilled about it then but I very much appreciate it now. If you are looking for a Doctor to coddle you and feel bad for you, he may not be the one for you, but if you want good results and a Doctor who cares about getting you back to 100%, Dr. Snead is top notch!!

Would highly recommend. Dr. Snead and Thomas are the best! The physical therapy staff was very knowledgeable.

I would highly recommend Dr Snead and his staff. They treated me with respect and were very thorough in explaining the injury to my arm and what was required to treat it. I needed surgery and the outcome was excellent. I would not hesitate to have Dr Snead do any future procedures I might have that would require his expertise. My thanks to him and his staff.

Dr. Dale Snead and his staff did an excellent repair to my shoulder. i was anticipating a long recovery, but with their hel i am essentially back to normal activities after 4 months. I appreciate all that has been done by Dale and the Methodist Staff. Terry Sullivan
