Worst doctor I been too. rude and DISRESPECTFUL TO patience. Does more harm than good,,,, find another docotor
Dr Goldenberg was the only doctor out of several that was able to locate the primary and secondary sources of squamous cell carcinoma in my throat and neck. To me, he really saved my life for which I’m most grateful.
We see Dr Goldenberg as a 80 year old patient with 5 diagnosis of skin cancer. With 3 surgeries and 2 rounds of radiation..Dr Goldenberg performed the last surgery last year when the previous Dr wasn't comfortable, and we not comfortable with the previous surgeon. The surgery and healing was excellent and now with surgery coming up, we are comfortable and eager to see the Dr next week. 😀 We give him 5 stars and he's a caring and thorough Dr answering our questions and making a hard time in life easier.
Rude, arrogant, nasty and has zero empathy. Got angry when I asked a question. Never met such an unprofessional doctor. Never ever would I recommend him. When you treat your patients like this, it’s time to retire.
Had surgery July 2017 on throat. His Carmel office at IU North Hospital has phone contact only. I NO LONGER HAVE A VOICE BOX! I have to drive 60 miles round trip, just to make an appointment. His "make an appointment" on-line system is also useless. The ONLY CONTACT OPTION is to receive a "return" call to set an appointment from this automated system with no way to advise the caller that "I AM MUTE." I can not answer the PHONE. Therefore, all future return visits as of 2020 have ended and will not resume. Submitted 03/2021. PERIOD!
I saw Dr. Goldenberg and waited 3 weeks to be seen by a referral from his office. I had to call his off ice and make an inquiry. Finally had my appt. with whom I was referred to. To date I have never received any information on the results of my test or the recommended therapy I was to receive to help with the issues of crystals in both ears to resolve balance and dizzy issues. I faxed a consent for the release of my own records. To date nothing. This office totally dropped the ball on all counts and clearly has more than a communication issue. I’ve never experienced anything like this before and this is not acceptable. My next step is to see another professional and I’ve called my insurance company to let them know the claim being submitted to them should have never been paid. I would not recommend this provider to anyone.
In addition to the Epidural Abscess caused by the missed surgical incision leak to my sisters Laryngectomy for throat cancer , her Oncologist has referred her to a Different ENT Surgeon because of the neglect of catching the leak at the surgical incision site. As I said before I am a RN for 40 yrs and working in Neuro ICU I took care of many patients with the same surgery as my sisters, so I know she would not have been allowed to eat with a surgical incision leak documented by the esophagram results! She has had to go through so much pain and several more surgeries because of this. I am angry that this has happened to her for no other reason than a mistake. Her husband and I were told he was the Best Surgeon for her and he was an expert in the diagnosis for throat cancers. Well along with this mistake and his bedside manner it is unacceptable in my opinion that this was allowed to happen. His ego has gotten in the way of being a caring Doctor @ putting the patient first. My opinion
Bedside manner was terrible. If you want a guy who isn't a jerk, this isn't your guy.
John removed my thyroid in addition to 8 lymph nodes on February 27, 2017 due to papillary carcinoma. During my post op follow up , he was certain that since my lymph nodes tested negative for metastasis, that the cancer had not spread. He was wrong. It metastasized to both of my lungs. I was given a 36 month prognosis from Mayo Clinic (without treatment). * I encourage a follow - up scan post procedure to anyone who has had a malignant diagnosis.
I went to Dr. Goldenberg and found him to be a GREAT doctor. He was very professional. He did not mess around and was on time to all of my appointments. I highly recommend him and believe he did a fantastic job.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
