List of Kathryn Copeland's Reviews
Dr Copeland was very quick to offer surgery as a solution to my problem. I went to her as I had heard great things about her, however, without even listening to my history or suggesting therapy as an alternative (which is a viable option and something I'm pursuing now), she recommended surgical implantation of a medical device - a rather new procedure at that. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that this was due to her experience with other cases similar to mine, however, I was very put off by her haste to jump to surgery at the commencement of the appointment, and without having spoken to me personally previously.
I was sent to see Dr. Copeland as a referral from Dr. Schwab. Dr. Copeland seemed rushed and did not want to hear any history or background information (I have been struggling with highly resistant UTI for 6 months). I do not feel she was thorough or courteous. I would not recommend this physician.
Dr Copeland is the worst physician I've ever been to. She was so rough during my vaginal exam that I almost came off of the table. I have been bleeding and sore for the past 24 hours after the exam ( and I don't have a cervix or uterus!) She didn't listen to me at all and told me that it's normal to have pelvic pain at my age ( I'm 58 years old.) She dismissed everything I was trying to tell her. I'm glad my husband came with me, because he confirmed that she was rude and dismissive. I would hate for any other woman to go through what I did in her office.
Dr Copeland really take time to listen and find what's best for you and help with samples until able to afford your meds to help with you condition getting better or to help you to be more comfortable from the pain.
Dr. Copeland is a highly skilled surgeon and I am so pleased with the repairs she did on my rectocele / posterior colpphorphy & the mid urethral sling. I was scared about the procedure, and it was a rough first week, but Dr. Copeland did an amazing job and my girly parts are better now than when I was in my 20's. When I read reviews of doctors/surgeons I am most interested in their SKILL and you should be too. Bedside manner isn't as important to me, although her's is very good when it counts. Her surgical techniques are second to none. I love her! She has changed my life!
I can’t even give her one star. I had a very bad experience with her. Rough pelvic exam while seeking treatment for pelvic prolapse. She said could not find my uterus and keep pushing harder and harder on the speculum. When I cried in pain she blamed me for hurting her feelings. I don’t know how she ever became a doctor. I will never enter that office again.
Dr. Copeland is great. She's one of the best doctors I've ever had. Her staff is professional and personable. My surgery went so well. Every nurse and even the anastesiologist were friendly and helpful.
This is a five-star physician in every way. She is knowledgeable, efficient, and compassionate. A person could not ask for a better doctor. Thank you, Dr. Copeland. from Cleta G. Hunt
Absolutely will not refer this doctor to family or friends. She did not listen to my complaints and went as far as to greatly minimize what I am experiencing and to normalize by concerns lumping me in with most postmenopausal women. The exam she performed had nothing to do with the reason I sought out a urologist. If I wanted a pelvic exam, I would have gone to see an OB GYN. She never did address the actual reason for my being referred to a urologist and even her scheduling staff could not understand how or why I had been referred to her in the first place. She became very defensive when I confronted her, but still never answered my question and obviously is unable to empathize with the problem I am experiencing. I have no intention of returning to her.
Too rushed, said nothing needed to be decided today, like I want to make a dozen of appointments and waste my time and money!! Not me!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
