Mark J. Ritter's Online Review Report Card

I don't appreciate the close-mindedness of Dr. Ritter. He lacks the problem solving skills and creativity I would expect in a doctor. Based on my knee problems, he advised me, an otherwise healthy patient in my 20's, to give up running entirely rather than search for a solution to keep me doing what I love. I hope this review helps other runners fight for themselves and find a doctor who is actually solution-oriented.

Dr. Ritter took care of my youngest son when he broke his leg during a dunk in a basketball game. Then a month later repaired my oldest son acl also from a basketball game. Both recovered great and had great high school and college season afterwards. Very thankful to him his staff and rehab staff.

Mark Ritter is nothing short of fantastic. He has performed 5 knee surgeries on me for various reasons. He and his staff's commitment to excellence is unmatched. I am grateful to have had Dr. Ritter aid me in recovering from my injuries, and would recommend him to anyone having issues with their knee or shoulder.

Dr. Ritter and the staff at MSM were excellent! He took the time to listen to what was going on with my knee and explained all options after MRI showed what was wrong. He’s always straight to the point but with respect and always took into consideration what I wanted to get back to doing. Office was clean and on time for all appointments. PT staff at Finch Creek was also fantastic! Highly recommend! 4 months out and knee is back to normal feeling great!

If I could place zero stars here I would. Mr. Ritter perofrmed basic ACL surgery on my daughter that was a high level college soccer player. He not only botched an otherwise basic surgery, she needed several additional surgeries to repair his shoddy work. He was 5 cm off in his tunneling process. She was never able to play soccer again and has a knee of someone twice her age. He never even apologized and instead made excuses. I would not let this clown touch anyone I cared about.

He not onlt bothched any otherwisw basic surgery he destroyed her knee to where she was never able to play again. We had to have Dr. Klootwyk perform multiple surgeries to repair his shoddy work. He never even apologized, but instead he made excuses.

I would never let him touch anyone I cared about. Instead of apologizing he made excuses and tried to shift blame.

I could not thank Dr. Ritter and his staff enough after my total labrum repair in December of 2019. He was very clear and upfront with the pre surgery options. He listens to his patients and their concerns and can adapt to those individual needs. My labrum was described and shown to me (through videos taken during the surgery) as being the consistency of egg drop soup when it should look like a large band. After 11 months and full recovery, I am stronger and pain free for the first time in since high school (2002 graduate). Cant recommend Dr. Ritter and his staff enough! The entire process was shockingly incredible.

Dr. Mark Ritter has performed 4 surgeries for me - 3 rotator cuff repairs and 1 knee surgery. He has a grand bed side manner and is extremely thorough. His professionalism plus warm caring demeanor is truly unique in the medical field today. I highly recommend his expert opinions and surgical procedures. You will not be disappointed in choosing him as your orthopedic surgeon.

My husband and I both work in healthcare and recently my husband suffered a knee injury. We researched and chose Methodist and it was by far the best experience either of us have had in healthcare as a patient. Thanks to Dr. Ritter and his PA Drew Apple, my husband was taken care of quickly and efficiently. Thanks so much to the both of them and all the staff at the surgery center.
