List of MIdwest Fertility Specialists's Reviews
Stay away from this place. We have been going to the Midwest Fertility Specialists since 2019. We were just treated as a number. Never changed the treatment regime. Despite several losses. We have tried 2 Ivf, 1 IUI and another Ivf with donor egg and 4 transfers. All the transfers ended up in miscarriages. Moved to a different clinic In Chicago In 2023. Has to start the whole IVF process with donor egg at the new clinic and got pregnant in the very first attempt and carried the baby full term. Holding my 2 month old baby in my arms now. Please stay away from this hospital. The doctors don't have the passion for their profession. Shame on you guys for wasting my time and money.
From the very initial consultation Dr. Matthew Will put my husband and I at ease that we were in good hands in our fertility journey. He was always kind and patient during such a challenging journey, and took the time to answer all of our questions. Things don’t always go as planned during IVF but Dr. Will made adjustments throughout treatment to ensure we had the absolute best chance of conceiving. Nurse Emily was excellent as well and there was also a team member (I think her name was Keisha?) who was so wonderful and kind and thorough in alllll of the blood drawings. I am currently rocking my newborn to sleep after one round of IVF that was successful. Thank you Dr. Will and team for helping us start our family. We appreciate you.
Dr. Bopp is doctor. He’s been extremely caring during this process. From the initial appointment to the more recent ones. This is our first time using a fertility clinic and we’ve been extremely lucky to get pregnant. I’d definitely choose Midwest again.
I've got the "estimate" price from admin 3 - party assistant after 2 weeks waiting for $35,000- 40,000K. That price did not include ...(a lot of other things). Knowing, that insurance usually pays NOTHING according to Indiana law, this simply ridiculous. My appointment was cancelled last minute by Mary Breen Bennett with no explanation.
Dr Bopp was amazing, very caring and comforted me before I was put under for my procedure. Would recommend him over and over.
note: this is my 3rd update of this review. everyones good & courteous, dr's are nice. everyone's a professional. building is nice . clean & well equipped facilities. we have to drive 2 hours 1- way, from our location. my only complaint is the lady drawing blood, that everyone has mentioned in other comments here already. the nurse they call "jackie". shes the one who draws blood. shes terrible in doing it. been poked many times in the hospital & various clinics & dont mind needles. but ive never seen anyone do what she did: literally pointing the needle in various directions : upward, downward then sideways & theres the "swim" in your arm. really very painful way! youd think she has "mastered" already the procedure. but no finesse at all. but thats only a minor issue. in the end, giving a low score because we didnt get what we came for - pregnancy. we followed all the instructions. all ivf's implantation resulted in " chemical" pregnancies only. all ended in painful miscarriages! dr bopp had been very nice, kind & understanding but we felt he seemed to have been very "passive" and dont seem to have any idea about how to solve the problem (we understand that were not getting any younger). in desperation, we cut ties and consulted another clinic. started from the very beginning again ( tests, screens, selection, meds, etc). now, we have a baby! we felt like we wasted all those years and life savings of tens of thousands of dollars in this the contrast in our experience couldnt have been more different. this clinic is nice and fancy. drs came with " stellar" education. the new one that we went to, was not as fancy. and the dr didnt have a stellar endorsement ( "foregn- educated"). few words, simple and direct to the point. but the new one is definitely more skilled! one transfer and everything went perfect! now we have our miracle baby! as he has helped many others like us (multiple failed attempts). indeed, one can never judge a book by its cover!
Cannot thank Midwest fertility enough! Dr. Matt Will was wonderful and helped us to be able to have a beautiful baby. Dr. Matt and all of the staff at Midwest were always friendly and supportive.
I have been a patient at Midwest Fertility Specialists for about 6 months now and have had a great experience. I have recommended this clinic to friends. This is the clinic my OB-GYN recommended. I did consults with 3 clinics in 3 different states, and this is the place I felt best about from the beginning. Since our first consult with Dr. Matthew Will we have felt heard and cared for. I know at some clinics it is rare to see your actual doctor. I have had 4 consults with Dr. Will (where he will give us as much time as we need to ask questions) and have very regular communications with my nurses. Dr. Will has performed 3 procedures in the past 4 months for me as well. We are impressed with how efficiently this place is run. If you have a monitoring appointment during the busiest time of morning you may have to wait in the lobby for awhile because there could be up to 15 other patients there at the same time. But for about 75% of my appointments I've been in the waiting room for less than 15-20 minutes. Everyone from the time you check in until you check out is attentive and kind. One of my biggest frustrations from my first round of IVF was trying to understand the finances of it all. I do wish I would have asked for a more in-depth consult with someone from the billing and finance team before we started. I had a quick phone call and was sent a message outlining some expected charges, but it was hard for me to understand. But any time I've called in to ask questions, someone does explain everything to me. But it would be nice if meeting with someone from finance and billing and getting an explanation of all of the possible procedures were built into the onboarding process for new patients. Dr. Will's nurses Emily and Becca have been great to work with and typically return calls quickly during normal business hours. I do appreciate that the doctors here take a more individualized approach based off of what my cycle is doing. I know some clinics will control the timing of your cycle in order to batch procedures and I can see where that would be beneficial. But I do like the Dr. Will takes things a day at a time based on how my body is responding to meds, etc.. We have done two rounds of egg retrievals. I have low egg count and concerns about egg quality, but we have ended up with 3 genetically normal embryos and will do our first transfer later this year. I genuinely enjoy my appointments at Midwest Fertility Clinic :)
Bad from the start- I went here, and had a negative experience from the start. I scheduled the initial consultation/appointment (which costed me $225 up front). I show up for this virtual appointment via zoom and my doctor was 25 minutes late to what was suppose to be a 45 minute appointment. At this point I didn’t know to wait or just sign off considering i hadn’t received any prior communication. I reach out to the staff on the online portal after waiting about 20 minutes, to let them know that no one’s joined the meeting yet and that I was still waiting (again, after already paying). The front desk responds back with “ I’m sorry you feel that way, but doctors run behind” they tried to tell me that the doctor already spoke with me which was a lie, because I only spoke with the doctor after he joined the zoom call that he was 25 minutes late to. No prior communication whatsoever.- so instead of trying to help me they just gaslit me instead by acting like it was my fault that the doctor was 25 minutes late. They don’t care about the patients just the money, and only their time matters. We all know that if this scenario was flipped, and it was the patient that was 25 minutes late to an appointment (with no communication) their appointment would have been canceled and most likely billed for the inconvenience/wasted time. As that’s how most offices work. Their staff are incredibly rude and disrespectful, which is honestly disgusting considering the people coming in are already in a fragile and vulnerable place physically and mentally. People are paying thousands out of pocket to get help, and instead they basically robbed, ignored and gaslit. They act like they are giving away their services for free based off how they treat their patients. I never went past the initial consultation, I ended up quitting while I was ahead. Because if that’s how they treat people online than I can’t imagine how they are in person. The economy is horrible right now, the least they could is make sure that people are getting the time and attention they are paying so much for.
My husband and I underwent 3 IUI’s and 2 full rounds of IVF with Dr. Will at Midwest. Dr. Matt Will was instrumental in helping our dreams of parenthood come true. We are so grateful for this clinic and Dr. Will’s expertise. Our lives have been forever changed with the addition of our daughter and we will never be able to thank Dr. Will and all of the staff at Midwest Fertility enough for this special gift.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
