My experience with Dr Rao Zhou has been life saving. I am so grateful to her for helping me with my menstrual cycle issues and fertility issues.

She is a very very good doctor. I recommend her!

I went to her South Indianapolis location, and when I tried to enter the door, it was locked. I tried turning the knob and as I was about to give up, she opened the door and I said "umm... I have an appointment." She said she thought the door was open. Although nobody else was there, she still wanted to discuss my visit in the lobby, which would have been risky if anyone else had entered. It seemed that whomever was working as the clerk there was her daughter. My visit was to replace nexplanon. They did not explain to me until I already went to the appointment that they did not do that at that location (they should have called to clarify, but they did not). We talked for a bit about my health history and I started to feel uncomfortable, as I didn't really want to be there if they wouldn't have what I wanted. She asked when my last period was and I said I was on it at that time. She wanted to do a PAP smear and I relented thinking that it wouldn't be long and it had been a while anyway. She then complained about the blood despite me telling her I was on my period, and had horrible bedside manner. I couldn't relax and everything she did just felt hurtful and insulting. She made comments about my weight when it shouldn't have been relevant. Overall the experience was humiliating and I never want to see her again.

After 3 miscarriages I was anxious to be 12 weeks. I had been being seen by a specialist in Indianapolis. Dr Zhou was in my network. I booked my appointment MONTHS in advance. I picked the location because it was close-ish to my town. I arrived to find the door locked. Called. They were in their other office, but had not informed me of the location change. I hadn’t been seen in weeks and I was anxious to hear my babies heartbeat. So I drove the extra 45 minutes. I had arrived nearly an hour early because I heard her wait times were awful. So I actually got to the appointment about 10 minutes till. There was no one at the desk for quite a while. I had to ask for them to do a urine screen cause I was sure I had a UTI. It took them 3 HOURS to call me back into a room. And even then I waited in there for quite some time.. about 20 minutes. I got no ultrasound. No doppler. Told she wouldn’t be able to yet because of my size. I asked her to fill out my FMLA and she said “maybe next time” despite me telling her that my work was asking for it, just in case. When it was time to do the genetic testing she commented on the size of my arm several times. I’ve worked hard over the past 2 years to lose over 70+ pounds. No one has ever had a problem drawing blood from my arm before. She said “it’s just SO BIG!” And “wow!” While looking at my arm in amazement. “How does anyone ever draw blood from you? I can’t see a vein!” So she drew from my hand. Incredibly painful. Bruised and sore for nearly 2 weeks. Why didn’t she send me to a phlebotomist? I’ve never had the DOCTOR draw blood from me before. I left the office and cried for hours. I already feel shame cause I’m gaining my weight back. I know I’m a bigger girl, but I’m not THAT BIG. IT WAS AWFUL. Honestly the worst doctor I’ve EVER been to. Do not recommend. I wanted to leave zero stars. Dr Zhou, you have to be kinder to your patients. This was so unprofessional and hurtful. I can’t even begin to explain how badly you made me feel in the 20ish minutes I was with you. I was so excited for my first regular OB appointment. Shame on you.

I will never go to her again or recommend her to anyone else. She was insulting to both my boyfriend and me. She tried pushing birth control on me when I was wanting to get off of it, ignoring my health issues with certain kinds.

If i could give her zero stars I would. Her bedside manor was horrible, insulting myself and the woman who recommended her to me. I would not suggest her to my worst enemy.

Highly recommend! We went to Dr zhou throughout my pregnancy and i couldn't have asked for a better doctor. Not only is she a great doctor but she listened to all of our 1837463 thousand baby questions and provided us with Information we didn't think to ask! When it came time to deliver she (not just whoever is on call) but she was there from the evening we went in until the next morning we delivered. If you're looking for a more one on one instead of the shuffling of OB's that you'd get at a hospital, then I'd definitely check her out!
