Samantha L. Polster's Online Review Report Card

Unfortunately, I didn't get the evaluation I was looking for. Instead, I got a refraction (I had just had one 2 weeks earlier) which I didn't want, but she said I had to have that to have the additional evaluation I was asking for. Consequently, I got an examination and prescription I didn't want, and didn't get the evaluation I was asking for. She was probably very good, but I guess there's only one way to do things, no matter what the circumstances. I wish I had been told she couldn't provide the evaluation I needed.

Dr. Polster's front office staff is very poor. I called 3 weeks ago to have a test result faxed to me and I still have not received the report. Every time I call I wait at the very least 15 minutes before someone answers. Very, very poor service.

Dr. Polster provided a very extensive and thorough exam of my elderly father who has diabetes. She was very patient as he is hearing impaired and had excellent bedside manners. She was very polite and respectful when speaking to him. Once she completed the exam and diagnostics she thoughtfully reviewed her findings and provided him recommendations and treatment options. My father is very particular and was very impressed by her! Thank you Dr. Polster for making his appointment such a pleasant experience. We have been trying to get him to the eye doctor for years and finally with the recommendation by his endocrinologist were able to get him into Dr. Polster within a reasonable time. We highly recommend her!

I have been a patient of Dr Polster for over three years. See if thorough and very good at explaining the current conditions as well as the future conditions of my eyes. She gives me plenty of time and response with my questions and concerns. Her staff is always more then helpful as well.

This doctor got my prescription right after several visits to my previous doctor failed. I highly recommend her and the staff I encountered.

Dr. Samantha Polster was prompt for our appointment. She explained everything involved in my diabetic eye exam, and checked in with me to confirm that I understood why she was doing what she described. She was thorough, kind, professional, and a wonderful educator. Dr. Polster was very gentle and respectful during uncomfortable parts if the exam. I will recommend Dr. Polster to family and friends.

Dr. Samantha Polster OD is arrogant, impatient and rude! She clearly had a problem with me asking her questions as a patient. She apparently felt that I should do whatever she said without question. She was talking to me like I was a child when I asked her about the difference in my contact and eyeglass prescriptions. I just wanted clarity. I also expressed to her that I had a headache and would prefer to try out contacts later at home and she said she couldn’t let me leave without putting the contacts in my eyes. I had already tried one pair in office which is what caused my headache. I would not recommend her to anyone!!!
