I am 71 years old and have had floaters in my eyes, my whole life. I was always told there was nothing that could be done with them. Last year I had cataract surgery done in both eyes, and afterwards the floaters became even worse. It was to the point that I could not see very well looking at things straight ahead of me. After meeting with my eye doctor and talking to him about my problems, he recommended that I go see doctor Ciulla for his thoughts on getting them removed. The appointments were set up, and Dr. Chula staff is amazing. They worked hard to schedule me at times that were convenient to me. I met Dr. Ciulla. I recognize that he was a gentleman and a very friendly,knowledgeable and caring doctor. He explained to me thoroughly after my examination that my floaters could be easily removed. After having the procedure done on both eyes, I am floater free with a vision of 20-20. The procedure only takes a few minutes and after a couple weeks of doing drops in my eyes and a follow up check up, my vision is perfect. I would highly recommend anyone with vision questions or concerns to contact Dr. Ciulla. He is an amazing and knowledgeable eye surgeon. Very nice experience with Dr. Ciulla and his staff. He repaired a blood vessel in my left eye and injected a bubble to support the retina. Dr. Ciulla cleared any floaters from my eye. 1 month later I can see clearly, and my vision has improved. Thank you Dr. Ciulla and staff. I highly recommend Dr, Ciulla.

I had two separate cataract surgeries, one on each eye, someplace other than Midwest Eye Institute. Two days after my second eye surgery, the retina in my left eye detached, and the retina in my right eye started to detach. My doctor could not help me at this point and sent me to Midwest Eye Institute immediately. I was fortunate enough to get Dr. Thomas Ciulla. He not only accepted me but also arranged my surgery on both eyes that same evening after his workday was complete. His staff was qualified and the most compassionate and caring group I have ever met. I was blind in my left eye, but thanks to Dr. Ciulla’s excellent abilities, I have my sight back. I will always be indebted to this team of caring people and grateful from the bottom of my heart. Putting my trust in Dr. Ciulla and his staff was among the best decisions I have ever made.

Life changing results! I have always had a lot of eye issues. Amblyopia in my left eye, or extremely weak eye. I had massive floaters in my left eye, a big floater that sat dead center of my right eye. Have had many consults with different doctors in the last four years. None of them really took an interest, most just said "yes we can PROBABLY make it better but no guarantees." Well with only one good eye that is a huge risk. My eye physician recommended Dr. Ciulla and from the moment I went to his office my life changed for the better. He was kind, concerned and CARED that this was a scary surgery for me but made me feel at ease. Yes the office visit wait times are long BUT...that should indicate how good he is. That so many people come to him. My eyes are both CLEAR! I can drive at night and not be scared, I no longer get headaches when I'm working on the computer, I can watch TV without blurriness. I would definitely trust this man with any surgery. His staff were so kind and reassuring, even when I was terribly nervous in the OR. I wish all doctors were like this!! I was in need of a vitrectomy in each eye when Dr. Ciulla was highly recommended to me by someone i trust. I could not be happier that he was. Dr. Ciulla performed a vitrectomy on my left eye in November and another on my right eye in January. Both were highly successful. The vision in my left eye is better than it has been in years. I still have a bit of a bubble in my right eye, but even with the incomplete healing, the vision in that eye is significantly improved. Dr. Ciulla is friendly and thoughtful. He takes the time to make sure you are comfortable with what he is doing, but he is a no-nonsense professional in the operating room while he does it. Dr. Ciulla, is simply awesome.

Dr. Ciulla is an EXCELLENT doctor. He is so caring and compassionate also. I had no idea there was a procedure to remove floaters in my eye that had been there for years and caused such blurry vision. Dr. Ciulla explained the procedure very well to me. I am so happy I had it done. My vision is awesome and I see so clear now. Thank you, Dr. Ciulla! Don't let the waiting room intimidate you. If you have to wait a little, he if definitely worth the wait. I strongly recommend Dr. Ciulla for retinal surgeries.
