My elderly (90 year old) parents went to him and he never did hands on care. They missed a few appointments (Covid) and was told he would not refill their meds (against medical guidelines) till they were seen. He was on the computer the whole time and was not happy to answer questions or take the time to even listen to their heart and lungs. Pills-Pills and more Pills. After their 2 missed appointments he dismissed them--He should not be dealing with the elderly-always seemed agitated by their questions. From the other reviews this seems like a normal procedure for him. Do not recommend. Found a GREAT Dr that loves my parents and takes so much time and care. Actually Thankful he dismissed them.

Outside of insurance issues causing me to not have him as a doctor for a few years, I returned to Dr. Rakhra as he seems very thorough with his exams and labs, and testing. His staff is excellent and very supportive. I wish he would accept more insurance companies, but glad I could get back in.

Dr. Rakhra is the best! He takes the time to explain any problems in language that can be understood by his patients. He is kind, understanding and empathetic. His staff is also excellent. Unlike other providers, they actually return calls when we have questions on medication or appointments. My wife and I couldn’t ask for a better doctor and have recommended Dr. Rakhra to friends (which became patients).

Dr. Rakhra is very straight forward and to the point which is what I like. He explains what needs to be explained and then asks if there's any questions that I have. If I have questions he answers them and not in a rude manner at all. I've never had a bad experience with him and I will continue to go to him.

He was my doctor for a couple years. I told him multiple health concerns that he completely ignored. He did the same to my wife.

Terrible doctor!! He doesn’t like his patients to ask any questions about anything especially lab results! I made the mistake of asking him to explain my labs to me (which all my other doctors do without asking) he “fired” me as his patient too! Asked how I dare question him?!!! Then I receive the same letter patients in several other reviews that I was no longer his patient! Best thing that ever happened to me!!! I see a wonderful NP in Mishawaka who cares about her patients! Having the title of Internist sure does mean you’re a good doctor!!
