Dr. Mathis always checks on my overall health along with my heart. He is easy to deal with and to ask questions of. He takes the time to be sure that I have understood what was said and why any medical/medicine decisions were made.

Another doctor set up for Dr Mathis to do Heart Cath. Dr Mathis asked many questions to be sure he had all the facts correct, explained what would be done, and took time to answer any questions I had without making me feel rushed. Also after cath he explained all and answered questions. Very thorough and kind doctor.

The first problem is that Dr Mathis does not seem to know why you are at the office. He ordered tests for me and then at the follow up had no idea that I had any testing done. The second problem, His nurse called to ask me where I had gotten a certain prescription that would have been fine but Dr. Mathis had prescribed the medication. I cannot have a cardiologist that cant even keep up with the medications that he has prescribed.
