Eric Johnson's Online Review Report Card

I saw Dr. Johnson for hearing loss that has progressed significantly the last 15 years. His wife administered my hearing test and was extremely kind, patient, and informative. Dr. Johnson diagnosed my condition do to family history. He then let me barrow a surgical book explaining the corrective surgery I could go forward with. He ordered a CT Scan to make sure everything pointed towards his diagnosis. He made sure all my questions were answered and I understood what the surgery would be. I have NEVER had a doctor take so much time explaining anything. Usually it's a nurse or someone else. Unfortunately I was unable to commit to the surgery because of financial aspects and being a caretaker for a family member with no one to cover things while I would heal for a week. I would recommend Dr Johnson and he wife 100%. They provided excellent care and answers.

I have not been a patient of Dr. Johnson's, but encountered him once as the after hours on-call physician. Though I know it's their job to take calls, I always feel quite uncomfortable bothering on-call physicians, so have only done so when I feel pretty desperate. In this situation, I was miserably sick, at my wits' end trying to sort out what to do about a rough AFib episode and the medication that was supposed to help but was making matters worse. So I summoned my courage and called. Once I explained my situation, Dr. Johnson screamed at me. We're not talking maybe a rude tone of voice, but livid, furious screaming. "How am I supposed to help you??!!" I was traumatized. I was in such a state of shock and frightened at the time, never mind being really sick, that I told the manager days later that I understood that Dr. Johnson must have been stressed. Sure he was stressed. The impact of being verbally abused when sick and vulnerable, with no expression of remorse, accountability, or empathy, still flares up at times many months later. At that time, I'm certain that the stress and trauma contributed to the ablation I had not long after that call not being successful. I understand that doctors get stressed and busy but it is *never* ever appropriate to scream at patients. Period. The lack of accountability is simply wrong. Another doctor saying "I'll talk to him" isn't accountability. Whatever happened to "First do no harm"?

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience . I was referred here after having strep throat 3 times in a row. Hoping to get some answers I came to see this doctor, he did nothing but GLANCE at my throat and tell me he thinks it was a bacterial infection that was not going away hopefully that was the last time and IF NOT the next time I even felt like I had it I could call and he would PRESCRIBE ME MEDICINE WITHOUT SEEING ME. Here I am today for the FOURTH time with strep throat and I have had nothing but problems trying to get the prescription he swore he would send in for me if I even FELT like I had this again. I am extremely dissatisfied with this Doctor and would NOT suggest him to anyone clearly he just wants your MONEY.

Great doctors. Great communication, on point staff, and easy access to information. Having Eric as my doctor has been a pleasure.

Had an appointment for my acid reflux and had some chest pains while there. Dr Johnson had them do an EKG and the next day he had a staff member call to see how I was doing. That is unheard of anymore and I greatly appreciate the thoughtfulness of the staff and Dr. Johnson. Thanks!

Our son was referred for a lip & tongue tie revision. We waited forever, he came in quickly looked in his mouth, said that he did indeed have the ties but he didn’t think it warranted a revision & to wait and see how severe it is when speech came into play. Guess who has impaired speech. Total waste of $300! He wasn’t even in the room for 10 minutes.

After my 2-year-old daughter got a Lego "Olaf" carrot nose stuck up her nose (she found her big sister's Lego's and decided to put Olaf's nose on just like he does in Frozen 2) my wife and I wanted to make sure she didn't aspirate it. After several days and even more trips, Dr. Johnson ...

Good. Check up went well. He is very knowledgeable and explains things well. I did have to wait over an hour before I was taken back to the exam room.
