List of David L. Whitney's Reviews
Dr. Whitney is very thorough, pays attention to patient questions and concerns, and is meticulous in how he follows through with patient recovery. His team is also friendly and thorough as well. Would definitely recommend him and his team!
Dr Whitney is phenomenal! I went in with carpal tunnel problems and he fixed it. I love his bedside manners as well. Dr Whitney is just an all around person! I would highly recommend him.
Informative, down to earth, answered all my questions.
Great, he truly listened and made an agreeable plan of action
Dr Whitney was the worst representation of a professional that I have ever encountered. He talked to my son, the patient; and, myself (his Mother) horribly. He would not let us address our concerns. Instead, he was accusatory, demeaning and ignorant of facts! Whitney told him that he was "lucky" that he would even operate on him. The office visit became nothing more than a yelling match- literally. And,, my son received none of the after care he needed.. This guy is no asset to any business and definitely not as a physician.
Unfortunately the care from Dr David Whitney at Tri-State Orthopaedic was less than subpar. His lack of care, condescending tones, the inability to truly listen to his patients concern, as well as his clear distaste toward the patient and the family was palpable. He lacked compassion and became quite defensive post surgery once an obvious problem arose. His partners (two to be exact - Dr Peter Knoll & Dr James Heinrich) appeared to care more about their partner and the practice rather than the care and well being of the patient. Because of this encounter, I not only do not recommend this doctor, but also his partners and the entire practice.
Dr Whitney is very caring of his patients. He takes the time to answer questions and explain treatment plans so that when we leave his office we feel confident that we're in the right hands. Dr Whitney treated my husband through a very nasty ATV accident, which is why he was my first call for my neck and shoulder pain.
All individuals that I dealt with exhibited great professionalism and kindness.
Dr Whitney is a polite, professional and well versed physician. I have trusted him through several surgeries.
My experience was terrible. I went into urgent care, got an x-ray to confirm my hip was not broken and was sent home with steroids. Came back in 2 weeks for my scheduled follow up with the Dr and not just the nurse, only to never see the Dr. I told them on my first visit to urgent care I have a rare genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos and was quickly informed they won't treat it, only refer out. So why did they waste my time and charge my insurance for this follow up visit? They gave me a referral to PT which I already am in PT, they didn't even bother asking. Lobby and line were both extremely packed, no distancing during the pandemic, and even though it was a medical office, no mask unless you were in therapy. Overcrowded, worn down facilities, and Drs that just charge for visits and don't actually see patients. I'm obviously not going back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
