I would just like to say how impressed I was with Deaconess Pain Center West. I was sent here to get an SI injection to determine if the SI joint was causing intense pain. I have had multiple surgeries on my back over the last 30 years due to fall when I was young. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with kindness and cheerful smiles. From the receptionist to the intake nurses I couldn't be more pleased with their professionalism and ability to make you feel welcome. I was seen by Dr. Chang. Dr. Chang greeted me with a smile and a handshake, which is rare these days. He listened to my concerns and gave thorough evaluation and explained what he could do and outcomes of procedure. I was impressed by his compassion and willingness to do everything he could to relieve my pain. I had an injection a week later and that process was smooth and practically painless. I can't say enough about the staff and Dr. Chang. I've seen negative reviews about other doctors and I can't review them but Dr. Chang is the best! As for the staff, pleasant and caring all the way through. If you need pain management this is the place to be seen. Don't let negative reviews keep you from getting the relief you deserve. Thank you Deaconess Pain for everything you do. Christopher C.
I had hoped that this place had changed for the better after Dr. Harries left, so I tried it again. I was very disappointed, if not really surprised. Much of the support staff was still there and the new doctor, Dr. Aziz, was a jerk. The only thing he was interested in doing was changing my medicines around, including the medication I actually went to home to prescribe. In the end, I walked out with tears in my eyes. If you have other options....take them! To quote another reviewer...AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!
Been going to the pain clinic for almost 2 yrs now and Thank God for Dr. Aziz and Brittney, the nurse practitioner. They have helped me so much from my daily pain, not that I'm pain free by any means but at least I am able to sleep better without so much pain. The whole group of people who work there are just super nice and helpful. They are very professional and caring.
My husband sees Dr Aziz who is so caring and patient. We couldn't ask for a better physician and his staff is great.
My wife just got out of the hospital for a week due to intractable back pain. This joke of a pain clinic wouldn’t even write her an emergency prescription to get her to her appt time due to a drug test not being back for over 3 weeks. Seems like they lost it due to negligence and now are taking it out on my wife. Brittany is a joke of a Nurse Practitioner who can’t see that patient care comes first. I plan on showing up to see if I can speak to Dr Aziz in person to untangle the mess of negligence and poor management. Update- it’s 10 days later and she misses her appt by 1 hour due to the poor scheduling issues by the clinic. They discharged her from the clinic altogether when there have not been any issues with anything else. Again Brittany is a menace on mental health care and shouldn’t be allowed in a pain clinic anymore
Not worthy of one star, not worthy of a review. Just avoid this place and go ANYWHERE but here. It will be the biggest waste of your time.
They're very professional and have never let me down . Thank you Dr. Aziz . Patient R. Givens
I haven't been to this place, but I noticed a theme with these pain specialists, they all push injections and no one understands why. Injections are very big buck's. If you have insurance that approves it and it doesn't work you can contact your insurance and report them. A Dr. In Bloomington lost his license and went to jail. He made big bucks though. Patients are going to have to come together as a group. Once insurance companies know they are injectionshappy they will cut them off.
If I could give this place a 0 I would. I have been prescribed medication for osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, several bulges, a bone tumor in my shoulder, and stenosis down my entire spine. The doctor basically said my pain was due to anxiety and depression. I have ALWAYS had anxiety and depression and that is being treated by a doctor who is qualified to make decisions about my mental health, NOT Dr. Harries. Don’t waste your time going here unless you like being treated like garbage and sent out the door untreated.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
