I practiced law for 40 years and represented thousands of injured and disabled people. My job required me to review many medical records and meet many surgeons. When my knees finally needed replaced I knew Dr. Goris was who I wanted. He did both knees on 4-25-2022. In less a month I could feed my horses, by 3 months I could ride my Harley trike, by 4 months I was riding my Harley Heritage. In August I was able to rob my bees and gave him a jar of honey. On 9-10-22 I was again practicing falconry and trapped a Red-tail hawk. Soon I could fly my hawk, walking miles with him hunting rabbits. Thanks to a great doctor I had a great result.

Dr Gorris has done both of my husbands shoulder replacements! Great man and very professional! Always takes time and talks to me as a wife and ask if I have any questions and always answered them! Highly recommend him!

After over 2 years of not being able to bend my knee, I made the decision to get knee replacement. OA was able to see me and Dr. Goris performed an arthroplasty. Dr. Goris has a nice personality and is knowledgeable about what he does. What a change it has made in my life! Just the simple act of sitting at a table with my knee bent or climbing steps or being able to get on the floor to play with my grandchildren, Amazing.

He was on call at the hospital and replaced my broken hip and messed it up. I was in excruciating pain for 8 months. He kept saying that was part of the surgery. Not only that he is the rudest person I have ever met. I finally had my orthopedic dr redo it and from the time the surgery was over I was pain free. I wouldn’t recommend dr goris to anyone

He messed up my hip replacement and I found out he’d not a hip Dr. I had to have a second surgery by a real orthopedic dr to correct the problem he caused. I was on constant pain for 8 months after his screw up

I was a patient of Goris’, never again... If I could give a -10, that’s what he’d get! After surgery I still have problems, at request of my insurance co. to do another MRI; which he acted as if he didn’t know how to use the mouse to click on the image, it showed tears still, what after having been through rotator cuff surgery to repair it.... after he acknowledging what he (saw) couldn’t deny, he walks out of office saying, “ that’s as good as it gets, I won’t operate again…! What a joke of a (Ortho) Dr... I’m not disgruntled, I’m a person that lives with this pain!!

Dr.Goris was talking to me about being off 3 months for a total knee replacement before it became workmen comp and then after 2 week checkup he said I could go back to work doing a sit down job ,I could not walk right and could not drive plus being in a lot of pain, please ask him about being off work for a personal injury or workcomp because he will not tell you all the facts or change your status later

He came in room never looked at me and never said a word until I spoke with him. He acted like he didn’t have time to fool with me. And certainly didn’t explain things well.

Two hip replacement surgeries that were perfect. He is very reserved, but a great surgeon.

I injured my right arm trying to manually maneuver a heavy trailer at work. I went to OA and they gave me to Dr. Goris. Had I researched him, I never would have agreed. From the minute he walked in I knew I was in trouble. Waaaayyyyy too dark fake tan, waaayyy too white teeth. And about as smarmy and unwelcoming as a prison guard. He listened to half of my story. Cut me off and said it was a torn rotator cuff. I tried multiple times (on record) to explain that the pain in my forearm was making my hand numb and I couldn’t hold on to things (coffee cups, pens) or grab things door handles, tying my shoes). My dexterity had been greatly compromised. His only answer was “rotator cuff”. I went in for the pre-surgery appt. and right before told him again about my forearm and dexterity problems. He said exactly this “We can operate on it, but with most cases of carpal tunnel like this...” HUH? My surgery on my shoulder was fast approaching and he didn’t even know why I was in his office. Partially because he treats his patients like cattle and tries to process and release them as quickly as possible to collect that insurance money. Also worth noting- my entire career as a graphic designer/artist/vehicle wrap installer revolves around the dexterity of my right hand. And I pleaded with him to take this into consideration. After almost a year of complaining to him about my loss of dexterity. He still refuses to listen and at times makes me feel “scummy” like I’m trying to lie my way into a big settlement. I finally had to have my physical therapist write him a report to tell him in detail what the problems were! It’s important to note that visual “flutters and spasms” happen in my forearm at will! All I have to do is make a fist and my forearm muscles start to flutter and my fingers buzz and go numb.. right in front of his face! All of this stems (I believe) because he primarily works for workers comp- not me. He protects THEIR interests. And it became so apparent, that I had to retain an attorney who had dealt with him before. By this time I had enough info on the type of person he is through research. So I had the procedure against my better judgment. Of course it was a misdiagnosis. No torn rotator cuff. Just ‘some other stuff’ he said he cleaned up while he was in there. Immediately after the surgery I noticed my hand and forearm weren’t better and told him the next follow up visit. ...And the dozen of other following appointments. Each time he was defiant that he had done the right thing and I wasn’t in pain!!! Also- he gave me a handful (20 or so) of pain meds throughout the entire, excruciating, year-long process. Google it- ONE OF THE MOST EXCRUCIATINGLY PAINFUL SURGERIES THERE IS TO RECOVER FROM. My last appointment was to refer me to a neurologist for my loss of dexterity. Which he said he was happy to do. Instead he slyly releases me with the lowest possible damage score so insurance won’t have to pay me for any pain and suffering, loss of work from dr appointments, the fact that my dominant, money-making arm is now basically a rusty gate. He says I’m fine! I’ve never had an experience so traumatic where I was made to feel so helpless by someone that is in the wrong profession. True doctors WANT to help people. This man wants more teeth whitener and golden toothbrushes. STAY CLEAR OF “DR.” GORIS You will thank me.
