I have had 2 *routine* appointments and have spent nearly 2 hours at the office each time. The last time Dr. Jencks wouldn't refill my ADHD medicine because "it's not good for the heart" even though I have no heart issues AND I have a clinical ADHD diagnosis. Furthermore, she said the reason I've gained an alarming amount of weight in just 3 weeks was A) because of my 6mo and B) because I was consuming more than "1500 calories" dispite her knowledge that I'm working very closely with a registered dietitian who's advised more. However in Jencks words, "I'm a physician" therefore she knows more about nutritional needs than a registered dietitian. As well, Jencks refused to even look into the 40lb weight gain, in 3 months, until I submitted a food log for her to review, even still her "solution" was a pill to take to lose weight. She tried to step in and take charge of my endocrine issues as well, dispite the fact that it's charted I'm working closely with an endocrinologist. Furthermore, I have recently had a few radiology images and lab work done to try and get to the root of a new problem. Recent lab work was decent, but a bulk of the numbers were out of range or borderline out of range, coupled with a 40lb weight gain in just 3 months, and her solution was "everything's fine" and if I really wanted she could make a referral to a specialist.
