List of Denise Blad's Reviews
Dr. Blad took time to listen to me and the concerns that I had. She worked with me to start a plan to help me reach my health goals. She was professional, informative and most importantly, caring. I’m new to the area so I feel very fortunate to have found such an amazing physician!
Nice place very informative
Although I have not seen Dr Blad at her new practice in Fort Wayne, she has been my doctor since 1999 - that’s 24 years (if you’re trying to do the math). First finding her in Fort Wayne as a our family’s primary care doctor, and then continuing as a patient after we both relocated to the Indianapolis area. I cannot give Dr Blad enough praise. She is not only an experienced and excellent medical doctor, but she’s is also trained in pharmacy. You don’t find many doctors who know drugs too! She is very thorough with her patients during routine visits, asks questions, gets to know her patients, is open to listening to your ideas, is caring and compassionate, has a great bedside manner, and is personable. She was my rock through stage 4 cancer - melanoma with recurrent brain mets x2 . Even though I did see an oncologist every 3 /6 months and then yearly, Dr Blad was my go -to-gal who’s managed all of my symptoms and side effects of stage 4 melanoma in my brain. There is no way I could ever establish a patient/doctor relationship that could compare or replace the care and guidance she’s given me over the years. When I heard she was going back to Fort Wayne to practice medicine, I told her I was not going to find a new doctor, but that I would instead follow her and remain her patient. A 2-hour drive every 6 months for an in-person check up and subsequent virtual appointments if necessary will have to be the way of my future care because she simply cannot be replaced!
Sorry to see her move to another city . She was my Dr. for many years and I will miss her wisdom and caring.
She has no bedside manner and does not want to diagnose anything.
Dr. Blad is a wonderful doctor good bedside manner i highly recommend.
I had to locate a new PCP because my last one did not accept my new insurance. I have always seen doctors within the IU network so that's where I prefer to stay. The front office staff was generally what you expect from anyone. Dr. Blad's nurse was friendly towards the end. Dr. Blad came in with a dry greeting and seemed uninterested with me and my medical history. I had to tell a joke just to make sure the woman could actually be a little more nicer. I left there with so many prescriptions and even more concerns than when I went in.
I went to see Dr. Blad and she said that my records indicate that I tried to kill my self in front of my little kids. She didn’t even try to spell it or write it down, they obviously didnt need to hear that mommy didn’t want to live. She said she sees children, so she should know better.
Dr Blad was seeing me and my 73 yr old mother. We both had medical issues that needed attention right away. Her and her office staff took months to follow through. And it nearly cost us both of our lives. I had a very large mass the size of a softball on my bladder by the time I got to a specialist it had torn my stomach wall in half and I had a horrible infection that looked like split pea soup. My mother seen her several times for uti asked to see specialist never sent she got septic.
Dr. Blad is the worst physician. She needs to go back to medical school and study again. Her basic understanding of medicine is poor. In the 15 minutes appointment time she spends 10-12 minutes writing notes and less than 5 minutes with patients. When I asked her about another medicine - she said they both work the same way. NO they don't! She has no knowledge of differences in two medicines. My general knowledge on medicine is better than hers. She's harmful to patients. NEVER GOING BACK!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
