Like other doctors in FWMO&H, works outside his specialty. This results in less up-to-date knowledge for patients that have solid tumors or don’t have the common forms of LL. Don’t know about other patients outcomes, but would bet worse than standard outcomes result. If you have leukemia, he doesn’t consult experts even when a rare variety is presented: or when requested by a patient who provides the experts direct line. Frequent appointment cancellations due to other “office” responsabilities.

Dr. Carr and his staff are among the few good physicians left out there. He always finds time to fit me in his busy schedule regardless of how big or small my needs are, and even continues to take care of my general health after I finished my chemotherapy treatments. He is kind, compassionate, and genuinely cares for his patient's needs. His nurse Lori is also wonderful, and all of the chemotherapy nurses truly care. Getting diagnosed with cancer is terrifying, (especially at 26) and Dr. Carr and his staff have always been there to reassure me and provide the best care possible. I am truly grateful for them!

I received my initial care for lymphoma at MD Anderson. Because I moved to Ft. wayne a short time after, Dr. Carr became my new oncologist. He is the best oncologist I've ever had! He is so knowledgeable, kind, and calm. He always takes his time to listen and is very patient. I trust him completely because he knows so much about the latest treatments, and he will never subject you to unnecessary tests. He is truly your best partner in the fight against cancer!
