HORRIBLE HORRIBLE ABSOLUTELY A HORRIBLE HOSPITAL! I hate this place with a passion
I was at Goshen Hospital with my wife on 08/31/2022 i am giving two stars just because this hospital was my favorite the attention to the patient was extremely good but now i don’t know what is going on.But the attention is poor i don’t feel like they care about the people anymore and that make me sad😞

Why am I never going to Goshen hospital again? Let me count: 1. They make it as difficult as humanly possible to get your records. They do not care that you need them right away or why. Just one hoop the jump through and circle to run around after another. 2. Making appointments can take 5 or more phone calls between the hospital the dr and patient round and round. 3. If you have a hypenated name for 18 years of going to GH and then remove just one of those names it is beyond the comprehension of Goshen hospital. They will make you explain every single time you come in and then make it as complicated as possible to get care after you have explained multiple times. I do not go through this at any other drs office or hospital. If the turn over wasn't so constant at gh they might recognize someone. 4. Gh must have students in the lab because they are the most painful place I have gone for blood work. 5. In general GH does not care how sick a person is or that just taking a breath to talk just takes too much energy for the patient. They will not go out of there way to make things any easier. Noone sick or not needs to put up with all of this.
I had a scheduled surgery at Goshen Hospital, and was not informed of the need to get a COVID test in advance. I was exhibiting zero covid symptoms. Upon preparing for surgery, the anesthesiologist and surgeon discussed with each other (in front of me) that they did not want to wait 15 minutes for a rapid test, so they would give me an epidural instead of the previously planned anesthesia, despite my hesitations. I ended up in a recovery room much longer than originally anticipated, and dealt with the most excruciating back pain for the next 12 hours as the epidural wore off. The pain was easily 10x worse than the large kidney stone I had endured and had removed. It’s now been over a year, and I still have pain in that area of my back (which I’d never experienced before). I’m so angry that a 15 minute rapid test could have prevented a horrific recovery and long term pain. The lack of upfront communication and lack of patience from the care team to wait 15 minutes for a rapid test was so frustrating. Just another example of needing to be your own healthcare advocate - although it’s so hard when you don’t have the information needed to make informed decisions! Pro: loved the nursing team!
Great staff, wonderful people! I was not well, and they all went out of their way to help me. I feel better, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Ty. 💜😁
I was in and out of the ER, with a cut open finger, staff was all wonderful, assisted me with signing my papers, the wait was short, the nurse practitioner who stiched me up had a good bed side mannor, all the assistance in and out of my room we friendly and very caring! My over all experience was impressive! Thanks to everyone in the ER department for prompt and caring!
I've went here my whole life and now that we have a different insurance company that's not blue cross its a smaller company but in network they don't want to give us the discounts they do if your with blue cross. I've always paid our bills on time and I was told because ots a smaller company they try to overcharge us.
Had my baby there. They ignored and threw away my birth plan and did everything I told them I didn't want. I wanted to be the first to bath my baby and they did it against my wishes. They pulled and took my placenta when I wanted a delayed placenta birth and I wanted my placenta! They made me feel beyond violated and will never trust these "drs" and "nurses" again! Pathetic and traumatic!
They're taking excellent care of my father. The nurses and Dr are excellent, friendly, and professional. The room he's in is private and very nice, with exceptional amenities for him and his visitors. I felt welcomed before I even entered everyone said good morning. I was greeted, and checked in as a visitor quickly. The path to the elevator is a little twisty but it's clearly marked and goes right past the coffee shop.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
